Chapter Eighteen : Girl's Day Out🔆

We had gotten back from England a couple months ago and since then Sebastian had been a little distant. We had gone from seeing each other day to every other day.

He had less shifts during the week and I tried to ask my father about it.

"Rosalie, I do not talk about somebodies work circumstances with you. Even if that somebody is your boyfriend." He said, shutting me down.

"Okay dad." I said, deciding to leave it alone.

Ever since they had come back from their meeting in England I often found Seb zoning out and just overall not being one hundred percent himself.

It was weird, no?

"I can't tell you, he's been stressed lately. There's not much more I can say because I'm not sure what's happening with him." Maddie said, placing the cup on coffee in front of me on Seb's office desk.

He had run out to do some things and I was here waiting with Maddie for him to come back. I missed him.

"Does he not love me anymore?" I asked her, my bottom lip between my teeth. I could feel my eyes starting to pool with tears.

"Oh, sweet girl. That man loves you and everyone knows it. As should you." Maddie said, placing her hand on my shoulder.

Overtime, Maddie had became a second mother to me, another best friend if you will. She is truly amazing.

"Work is just a lot for him right now, you shouldn't have to worry about it." There's definitely something she's not telling me.

"Maddie, what's going on?"

"I'm afraid dear, it's not my business to talk about." She said just as Seb walked in.

"Flower, what are you doing here?" He asked, trekking over to me.

"I'll leave you to it." Maddie said before leaving the room, shutting the door behind her.

"I haven't seen you much lately, is everything okay." He pushed his chair back that I was sitting in before sitting on the edge of his desk in front of me.

"Work has been crazy lately, i've got a few meetings to attend in Italy on Thursday and Friday." He said, running his fingers through his short hair that used to be a lot longer on top.

"After that, my sweet petal. I am all yours, you and I. We'll go away for the weekend, how about that?"

"I'd love that." Before I knew it, I was standing between his legs, my arms wrapped around his waist.

"You'll have my undivided attention." He said before his lips reached mine.

He tasted of ginger beer, yummy.

——

"I'll see you first thing Monday morning. Don't miss me too much." Sebastian said, it was Wednesday morning and he was off to Italy for a bunch of so called meetings.

"I'll try not to." My lips formed a pout on for him to kiss it away.

"I love you."

"I love you, Seb. Safe flight."

"Always, baby." He said before getting in a cab, leaving me standing in front of his house on my lonesome.

It wasn't even a minute later before Maddie and Dem had pulled up in front of me.

"Get in girl, we're going shopping!" Demeter yelled and I laughed.

"Who put you up to this?" I asked, getting into the back seat.

"Your lovely boyfriend, of course. Anyways, this is a well needed girls day out!" Maddie said, before putting the car in drive.

We ended up in a shopping mall that was thirty minutes away from the hotel. It was nice to get away with my girls.

"Starbucks is on me, girls. Get what you want!" Maddie said as we made our way to the food court, Starbucks in our line of vision.

I wasn't too much in the mood for a beverage so I ordered a simple iced tea, my go to choice of drink.

"Thanks, Mad!"

"And what's your name, pretty lady?" The barista asked, Demeter. Maddie and I giving each other a look as we snickered.

This guy is totally flirting with her, but who wouldn't? My girl looks banging today.

"Demeter." She smiled.

"Does that come with a number?" He asked and her face went from smiling to blank. "I'm sorry, I have a boyfriend."

No she doesn't.

"Oh.. your drinks should be ready in just a moment." He awkwardly said before moving away from the til to make them.

"Boyfriend, huh?" I raised an eyebrow at her.

"Eddie." She said so quietly I only just caught what she said.

"Excuse me? And when were you planning on telling me this?" I giggled and she laughed.

"Right now." Demeter laughed, running her fingers through her long brown curly hair.

"We should definitely get our nails done or a massage, or both!" Maddie said and I agreed.

"Ugh, I'd love to get my nails done right now." And that's exactly what we did.

——

We sat in the chairs, our feet dipped in the warm soak that they had set out for us.

"Tell me more, when did it start? You took your time!" I pushed, my complete focus on Demeter.

"After you guy has dropped us off, Eddie came back to mine.."

"Oh lala." Maddie said, like we were sixteen years old again.

"It wasn't like that, we just talked. He's really great once you get to know him. He's sweet." She said, a smile on her face the whole time she talked about him.

"I'm glad my girls have found their prince charmings!"
