Chapter Ten : The Ruins
Sebastian's Point of view
That night was really a night to remember. I had spent the whole night with the most prettiest flower i've ever seen.
I felt like the luckiest man in the world. I, Sebastian Lake was worthy of her time and attention. And boy did I get all of it.
I remember the feeling of her lips against mine, they were soft and she tasted of cherry.
I wasn't a fan of the flavour but on her, it was the most delicious tasting thing i'd ever had.
We were able to get through two movies before she fell asleep. But honestly, I couldn't watch them, not with her sitting right next me.
If she was a movie, it'd be my favourite one. The one that I'd watch all the time and never get sick of.
I hardly slept, her head laid on my shoulder. I was so afraid that if I moved even the slightest bit, I would've woken her up.
So I just sat there, the whole night. That was until she moved on her own. That's when I had gotten a couple hours of sleep.
When I woke up, she was still fast asleep. I tried my best to move her so she was lying on the couch more comfortably.
Without a thought, I leaned down and pressed a kiss to her head. I wasn't sure if we were on this type of level but it just felt right.
I stalked into the kitchen and pushed the button down for the kettle to start boiling. I didn't have a fancy expensive coffee machine, I was hardly here so there was no need for one.
I wasn't sure whether I should cook for her or not. My cooking really was a hit or miss, I hardly ever cooked myself. I get free meals at the hotel restaurant so I never really felt the need to cook at home.
But I somehow found the courage to make breakfast muffins. Bacon, cheese and egg. I hope they don't taste horrid.
"Morning." Rose's sweet voice came from behind me.
"Good morning sunshine, sit. I'm making breakfast." I said, pointing to the chair that sat at my two person dining table.
I poured her a cup of coffee and placed it in front of her.
"Thank you." She smiled, sipping it slowly.
Five minutes went by and our food was finished. I placed hers in front of her and her smile got even bigger.
"These look amazing." She said I sat down next to her, immediately digging in. I hadn't eaten much since yesterday afternoon, i'm not sure how I haven't thrown up from all the alcohol.
"Did you have a nice night?" I asked her, hoping that she enjoyed the night with me.
She was wonderful company.
"I really did, thank you."
"There's no need to thank me."
We sat in a sort of comfortable silence. Both eating the best breakfast food i've ever made in my life.
"Are you working today?" Her voice broke the silent air.
"Not today, what are your plans? I'd like to take you out if that's okay." I tell her, I have no idea where I want to take her yet.
"That'd be nice. I've got to go home and get dressed first." She smiled.
"Of course, i'll come and get you in an hour and a half." I told her and not long after she left. She insisted on walking back herself and I told her to message me once she got back.
——
I was waiting in the hotel lobby all freshened up and all that. I wore a pair of black shorts and a plain white top along with a hoodie on top. I've decided it was going to be a casual day, I was getting sick of wearing fancy clothes all the time.
"Lake, what are you doing here?" Althea appeared from out behind the front desk.
"Waiting for someone." I replied. I didn't need to be nice to her, I wasn't working today so I can really be myself.
"Course you are." She said before leaving my sight. Oh man, she's annoying.
It wasn't long before the 'ding' of the elevator was heard and Rosalie came walking out. Her smile lighting up the whole lobby.
"Ready?" I asked her.
"Yes!" She looked nice, she had on a pair of jeans and a cropped black turtle neck shirt. She really can rock anything she puts on.
"Well come on then." I smiled, leading the way out.
I took my hand into hers. "Is this okay?" I asked her and she nodded her head.
"Yeah, it's nice."
We walked down to the train station which really wasn't far from the hotel. Everything was pretty much in walking distance from the hotel.
"You haven't been out of town have you?" I questioned, paying for our train tickets.
I planned to take her to visit the Acropolis.
"Where are we going?" She asked and I just smiled.
"You'll just have to wait and see, miss Rose."
——
We had taken two trains and a bus to get where we needed to be. I could've driven us but that takes away from the whole experience.
"No, way! The ruins?" She smiled, her hand immediately reaching for mine.
"Can't live in Athens and not see Acropolis." It took us at least thirty minutes before we were able to reach the ruins.
This part of history was always something interesting to me and I could tell it was that way for Rosalie too.
She glanced around, her eyes were lit up. I felt like if she was to look at me, I would see the whole past history of this place.
She pulled me around, taking in the sights. And of course I snapped as many pictures of her as I could. Without her seeing and without me seeming like a creep.
She'd thank me for this, maybe..
