Chapter Six : First day
Sebastian's point of view

"Sebastian Lake, I'd like you to meet my new assistant." Althea said, and with her saying "meet" I knew this assistant wasn't Rosalie.

"Glad to have you on board, Irene." I feel obligated to say. I can't lie and say I wasn't disappointed with her choice.

Rosalie Fogale was more than perfect for the job.

"I know that your assistant has gone on holiday, if need be. You can borrow mine for the time being, saves you from hiring a new one. I know you can't do things on your own." Althea says with a smirk.

Her smirk annoys me.

I am more than capable of doing things without an assistant and I can hire a temporary one if I wanted to.

Maybe I could even hire Rosalie.

Scratch that, that's exactly what I'm going to do. That'll show Althea what she's missing out on.

——

Tuesday morning came around and I was more than excited. Miss Rosalie's first day with me.

There's something special about this girl and I know I will find what that special thing is. Ever since she first arrived in the lobby, I just knew she was going to ruin me.

I sat at my desk, pen in hand just watching the clock tick as I waited for it to hit 9am. And as it did, she knocked on my door and walked in.

"Good morning, Rose. Right on time!" I say, she looking beautiful. Her black pants clinging to her curves, her white blouse was hideous but she somehow made it work.

"First off, we've got a meeting to get to." I tell her and she nods. I picked up a book and pen and held it out for her.

"All you need to do is write down what you think is important, in note form. Things that you may think I may want to remember later because I tend to zone out during these meetings." I admit to her and she laughs. My attention span is as good as a two year old, I thank god for assistants.

"So basically I should pay attention to everything said because you definitely will not." She adds.

"Exactly." I smirk. She gets me

Before we were about to leave, Althea barged in with Irene.

"Oh, are we interrupting something?" Althea questions and I shake my head no.

"We're about to go a meeting." I tell her.

"We're? I came to give Irene to lend a hand." She says, looking at me then to Rose.

"Thank you but theres no need, Miss Rosalie here will be joining me." I say with a smile as Rose taps her notebook.

Althea scoffed, "I didn't give her a job, so you did?" She questioned.

"That question is very unprofessional, Althea. I needed someone to fill Maddie's spot and she was available. So of course, I took the opportunity." I say before leaving the room, gesturing for Rose to follow me.

It was almost two hours later and we were still sitting in the meeting room. I was bored out of my mind and did not want to be there any longer.

I looked over to Rose in the corner of the room, her face was filled with pure focus. She would look down every so often to write something down. I'm glad she's listening because I am not.

"Lake?" I looked to the direction of my name being said.

"Your thoughts on expanding?"
