Chapter Twelve: Together

It had been a month since Sebastian's and I's little date to the city. We had spent more and more time with each other during the week.

I would sit in his office and keep him company while Maddie wasn't in or we'd sneak out to the garden together to avoid being crowded by his work mates. Sometimes we would even spend the day together when he would have a day off.

We were getting closer and closer to each other as time went on.

My parents knew about my feelings towards Sebastian. I couldn't hide them from my mother, she knew me too well to not notice that I had some type of feeling for Seb. And of course she had to tell my father so that's how he found out.

"I just want you to promise me that you will be careful.. and safe... " My father started and I rolled my eyes.

They had given me "the talk" on more than one occasion.

"Don't roll your eyes at me young lady. Sebastian works here and will be here often, he works for me." Dad said, sitting me down on the sofa by pushing my shoulders down. Gently may I add.

"If things go wrong with you two, there's no escaping each other. And if I lose a bloody well good manager then, I don't know what I would do but you just better watch out." His thick english accent coming out to play.

"Dad, you don't have to worry."

"And I don't want you bothering him while he works. We don't pay him to sit around and chat my darling daughter up."

I totally do not do that. I'm more helpful than a distraction.

"Yes, sir." I agree, wanting this talk to be over and done with already but of course he doesn't stop there.

"No boys in the house, and I hope to the dear lord that you're being safe." He said, his hands clasping together in a prayer motion.

Little did my father know that I was still a virgin. I've had many boyfriends in my time but none of them have felt worthy enough to take something that was extremely special to me. My body was my temple and I get to choose who is allowed to enter... when the time comes.

This is why my past relationships never worked out. They were ready for the next step but I was not. It showed me their true colours and before anyone says that sex should be had in relationships because it is a bonding experience when it's with those who are in love. I couldn't agree more. But if you're not ready to do so, then that's your choice.

My father continues to talk my ear off but right now my ears were more of a decor piece attached to my head rather than the sense they are used for. I wasn't listening to a word he said.

"Off you go, don't be causing any trouble." He said, shooing me off to watch a show that he was so deeply interested in.

"Thanks, dad." I smiled and began my journey downstairs to see the one that I was missing in the moment.

It got me thinking, would he run if I decided not to give my innocence? Or would he stay? Does he only want me for my body or is there something else to it?

Maddie wasn't in today so it was my duty to keep the lonely business man company. I'm sure he would go stir crazy if he was left alone in that tiny office of his.
