We return to Seoul later that day, and I stay at the BigHit all night as the staff and are planning a special surprise for the Bangtan Boys. Since we're so busy with them during the day, we've got no other choice than work on it at night, easily hitting those 15 working hours days, but since I've actually started this specific project, I don't mind. The idea has been living in my mind for a while now and I'm more than glad that the senior staff supports it and has been helping me make it happen.

Around 10 pm, I receive a text from Jungkook. What the heck are you doing? Why are you still working?

Just some things to clear up, I respond, trying to keep my answer as vague as possible. Since I work directly for Jungkook, it must be deeply unsettling for him to not know what I'm currently working on.

You and the rest of the staff have been so secretive lately

Don't worry we'll reveal the secret soon

Why do you keep things from me?

Don't be so impatient.

So when are you coming home for cuddles?

As soon as I can, I promise

Okay

While I do try to keep my promise and hurry, it is 1 am when I finally come home, and Jungkook's already sleeping, after sending me another sad smiley an hour ago. Attempting to be as quiet as possible, I wash up and slip into my pyjamas before heading towards my own bed out of reflex.

Before my bed, I stop and stare at it confused. Jungkook and I are together now, right? So does he expect me to sleep in his bed now? Or does he still want some distance? No, Rose, of course, he doesn't want distance, he even requested cuddles earlier. Or was he just kidding?

Overwhelmed, I massage my head as self-doubts keep flooding my mind. It's been a while since I've been in a relationship. The last time was in high school and it definitely wasn't as serious. Now I've got no idea how to act, especially since I've lived in Jungkook's apartment for so long now. It's strange to change your habits in a place that has become home long ago already.

Overall, going from friends to lovers is a weird, confusing situation, and I make a mental note to ask Eun about that tomorrow since I've got no idea how to handle it and she's much more experienced at everything concerning relationships.

After much inner debating, I settle on crawling into Jungkook's bed since he'll most likely be offended if I don't, especially since he spent a big part of the evening waiting for me to show up.

The young man has completely disappeared in a mountain of blankets, the only part of him truly visible being his peaceful face and beautiful black hair which I've never witnessed looking bad since I've started working for him.

He looks so cozy and lovely snuggled up in bed that all my self-doubts immediately disappear and I join him in bed. Never have I ever yearned to be this close to a person before. He's home to me.

"Mmh," Jungkook's eyelids flutter lightly as the weight on the mattress shifts at my arrival. "Rosie?"

"Yes, it's me," I whisper as I get comfortable and his arms wrap around my body straight away. "Go back to sleep."

"Finally," he whispers, his lips brushing the back of my shoulder in the most delicate way. "Why were you working for so long?"

"Just working hard for you," I don't budge. The surprise must stay a surprise, no matter how irresistibly cute Jungkook's behaving at the moment.
