Corporate Slave

Y/N's POV:

Because of the villain attack I was rushing to the office. If I was even a minute late Mr. Okino would be furious. I had five minutes to be at my desk. I looked down at my watch. "Shit! I need to run!" I picked a bad day to wear my new dress shoes. I started to run to the office.

It seemed like everything was working against me today. I swear I was stopped at every crosswalk. I looked like a student running late for school. I must look ridiculous to the other people around me. As I was stopped at a crosswalk I looked around and I noticed the man from the train, the one that helped me. I don't think I've ever seen him before on my way to work. The crosswalk lit up and I began rushing to the office again. I was moving so quickly up the steps of the company that I almost tripped. I ran through the lobby. "Hold the elevator, please!" I begged as I saw the doors closing. I saw a hand Stop it from closing and it slowly opened up again.

"Running late again, y/n?" it was my co worker, Yamamoto Nakamaro. He gave me a cocky grin.

I quickly got in the elevator and sighed a large sigh of relief. "I wouldn't be if it weren't for that villain attack." I was finally able to catch my breath. I turned to Yamamoto who was giving me a cheeky look. "Oh don't give me that look! It's not my fault some villain decided to go crazy!" I stomped my foot at him.

He laughed at me "Oh you are so cute when you pout, y/n" he reached over an pinched my cheek. As he did I playfully tried to bite him. "Oof someones feisty this morning!"

The elevator doors opened on our level and the two of us got out. I went into the women's changing room to change into my uniform. I opened my locker and took out my uniform. A long sleeved white button up with a god awful royal blue vest with a matching god awful royal blue suit skirt. I tied my bright red tie and looked in the mirror. My hair was a mess from the rush here, which aggravated me as I actually curled it this morning. I decided it would be best to pull it back today. I slipped my new dress shoes back on and headed to my desk.

As I sat down and settled I could see  Mr. Okino coming my way, and he did not look happy. He slapped a hand down on my desk and looked right at me. "You want to tell me why my humidifier is not filled?"

I looked at him confused for a moment. I looked back at my watch and realized it was Tuesday, my day to take care of his desk needs. I stood up quickly and bowed, "I am sorry, Sir! I will take care of that right away!" I quickly grabbed the tank of his desk humidifier and went to the Tea Room to fill it and get his tea ready for him. It's absolutely ridiculous that I have to do this. He treated all the women in the office like his slaves.

I started to walk back to his desk. He was there waiting for me. He gave me a smug grin. "Now was that so hard?" I hated when he talked to me in baby talk.

I set his tea down and put the tank back on the humidifier. "I apologize again, Sir." I bowed, "Is there anything else I can get you before I begin my work?"

He laughed loudly, so loud that everyone in the office heard. "No, but I have these numbers from yesterday that need to be redone. I expect these and todays work by tonight!" he stopped laughing and slammed a hand on his desk and glared at me, "So get to it."

I could feel my anger building up inside me. I bit my lip and took a deep breath and put on my smile. "Of course, Sir. I'll have those done by tonight, even if I have to stay late." I turned and walked back to my desk. I gritted my teeth the whole way.

As I sat down I felt a tap on my shoulder, it was Yamamoto. "I can help you with some of that."

I sighed and shook my head, "It's alright. Besides if he finds out he will be even more mad at me."

Yamamoto gave me a disapproving look. "You'll be here all night with that." he sighed deeply "Geez why is he such an ass to you? If that were me I would have told him where to shove it!"

I let out a sarcastic laugh "Ha! He would never treat you like this because you're a man!"

He scratched the back of his head. "I guess you have a point, but even so I would hate to see you here so late. Just slide me a few of those to do. I don't have that many to do today. I really don't mind."

I looked at the pile of folders and looked at the clock. Its 9:45AM now and looking at this pile I will probably be here till midnight if I do all of these myself. I let out a sigh "Okay, here are a FEW, but don't let him find out, and make sure it's all right or it's my ass on the line." I grabbed 4 of the 16 folders and slid them under my desk and slowly handed them to Yamamoto.

He got another cocky smile "Oh do you not trust my skills? Of course they will be right."

I giggled at him, "Well as a thank you how about I get us dinner some time?"

His cocky smile disappeared and his face turned bright red. "Well I guess that will make us even." he muttered.

I giggled at his sudden embarrassment. I turned to my computer to begin this work load. With Yamamoto taking 4 of the 16 folders I hopefully will be out of here by 9:30 tonight.
