Little Rabbit

Y/N's POV:

It was a sunny day and not a cloud in the sky. The walk to the convince store was only a few blocks, but I decided to take my time. It was nice to be outside the apartment.

My mind was racing on what snacks to get, and how many of them. I could go all out and just binge like I did in high school during my gaming marathons. Although I don't think that would be the best idea, my stomach isn't the same as it used to be, but I wanted to go back to that excitement and happiness I felt.

As I got closer I pictured what I was for sure getting. Strawberry milk, some chips, maybe some of my favorite instant ramen. I should get some fruits or veggies to balance it out, oh and some candy, preferably chocolate.

I was in my little world and nearly went through the crosswalk when the light was red. I stumbled back and lightly smacked my cheeks. "Focus, Y/N, you don't want to die before you can enjoy the spoils of you outing and an afternoon of gaming bliss." I whispered to myself. The light turned green and I started walking again.

I couldn't help but get even more excited for when Izuku came home. I wanted to share this with him. Maybe I should pick up extra snacks for him too. I thought about making dinner, but that would take away from playing my game, and I didn't want to distract myself from it. We can just order dinner tonight, if we aren too full from snacking that is.

The convince store was small, but it had everything I needed. I picked up a basket and started putting things in it. A pack of strawberry milk, some chewy candies, and some chips.

I was looking at all the selections and I was wondering what to get Izuku. I know he probably wouldn't answer right away but I could message him and see if he would want anything in particular. I reached into my pocket for my phone and it wasn't there. I left it at home.

I usually never forgot my phone. I was a bit shocked at myself. I felt kinda dumb too. If something happened to me no one would know. I could be taken advantage of by muggers on the street, or if I got hurt during a villain attack I wouldn't be able to call anyone. I just needed to get my snacks and go home quick.

I brought by items to the clerk and paid. It was a shame I had to hurry home now on this beautiful day. It was hard being scared out and about in a world full of super human people and not being one of them. It was like being a little defenseless rabbit in den of wolves. I had been mugged before, and I wasn't able to fight back and I never wanted to do that again.

I headed out the door and made my way back at a faster pace. I was stopped at the same crosswalk. I tapped my foot frantically waiting for it to change.

The light changed and I had started walking when I felt a hand around my wrist. It was a tight grip, and with a sudden sharp tug I was whipped around.

It was Izuku.
