Y/N's pov

I put my phone down. Even if the boss wasn't here I needed to focus. I looked up and saw Yamamoto leaning on my cubicle.

"What's got you so smily?" Things were kinda awkward between us today. It didn't help that I was constantly brushing him off.

I pulled my keyboard closer to me and started working again. "Nothing. I'm not smily."

He looked at me with a disapproving look. "I know you, y/n. Something is up, what is it?" he raised and eyebrow at me "Don't tell me you've been flirting with other guys?"

I felt my face get red. "N-no I haven't!" I looked down and furiously typed on my keyboard.

He gave me a fake shocked look. "y/n, you dog! I thought I was the only one you flirted with!" he paused and got a saddened look on his face. "I really fucked up, didn't I?"

I stoped typing and looked up at him. "What do you mean?"

He came round the cubicle wall and sat at his desk. "I mean I fucked up us. We almost had something, y/n, we really did."

I looked back down. "Yamamoto, I'm sorry, it's just yesterday you were being so pushy and harsh and I couldn't handle that and you didn't listen when I told you to stop."

He sighed deeply and leaned back in his office chair. He was looking up at the ceiling. "So who is he? Do I know him?"

I couldn't tell him that it's Deku. I promised Izuku that I wouldn't tell anyone that he was my boyfriend. "Well uh you do know of him, he's a hero so we are trying to keep our relationship a secret from the press."

He was still looking at the ceiling. "Which hero is it? You know I would never go to the press."

"Im sorry, Yamamoto. I can't tell you, I promised him that I wouldn't tell anyone." I didn't like hiding things, especially from my friends.

He kicked his feet up onto his desk. "Well if you won't tell me I will just assume he is fake." He sat up and winked at me.

I smiled at him. I turned and finished my work. For once I was going to get out of the office on time.

5:00 rolled around and I stretched as I got up after I powered off my computer. "I am so ready to go home!" I turned to talk to Yamamoto but he had already left. He was understandable upset. I went to the changing room and changed out of my work uniform. I looked at my phone and I hadn't gotten any new messages from Izuku, he was probably resting. I got in the elevator and headed to the lobby. I had a big smile on my face. I couldn't remember the last time I left work feeling like this. I made my way to the train station and was able to slide into the train right before it left. I was even able to snag a handrail.

I pulled out my phone and pulled up a recipe for katsudon. I had never made it before so I decided I wanted to practice making it before I made it for Izuku. "Hmmmm it seems easy enough. I'll have to stop at the market before I get home." I whispered to myself. Maybe I could ask Yamamoto to help, he was a good cook so he would be able to teach me.

I got off at a stop earlier than mine to go to my favorite connivance store. It was owned by an older couple and they were so nice. The doors dinged as I walked in. I grabbed a basket and started to fill it with everything I needed.

"Oh hello, Y/N! It's been a while." I turned to see the store owner, she was such a sweet lady.

I set my basket on the counter and she started to scan my items. "Haha yeah it has been a while. How have you been?"

She scanned through my items and looked up at me. "I've been great, and it looks like you have been too. You must have a boy coming over, you never cook actual meals for yourself."
