Sayuri
"'Wag ka na kasing sumama." Uriel said to Klye. We're walking to meet up with the others at QPav.
"Bakit hindi? Part naman ako ng team." Klye said and released a sigh, "Ikaw din naman may after party."
"Last Paskuhan ko na kasi 'to with them, of course may lakad kami. Second year ka pa lang, walwal na walwal ka na." Uriel said in his annoyed tone. Are they fighting? Damn, it's awkward being around them...
"Parang ikaw hindi..." Klye muttered to herself, "Dito na lang kami ni Sayuri, nakita ko na sila." She grabbed my hand and walked away but Uriel is following us from behind. I gave my brother a questioning look but he just rolled his eyes.
"Text me kapag uuwi ka na." Uriel told me and looked at Joaquin, "Bantayan mo kapatid ko." I looked at Joaquin and he gave me a shrug.
We all went to the grandstand to enjoy the night, all of them were enjoying the bands. Though, I'm not familiar with them, I enjoyed their company. Ashley started to take pictures and I was shy enough to join them.
"Instagram story ko lang, boomerang tayo!" Ashley said and lifted her phone, "Sayuri, sama ka bilis!" She smiled at me and I raised my hand then shook my head lightly to decline. "Awts, sayang naman." Ashley pouted but they took a lot of pictures together.
I observed them, they're all having a good time tonight. I'm still new to their culture and norms, it's so different from Japan. I looked around me, I'm seeing a lot of people, some in groups and some in pairs. I don't see anyone who's by themselves right now. I think people who go to events like this must have a lot of friends, and I'm not one of those.
"Inom inom ka diyan, kapag kami pass pero sa teammates mo G na G." Joaquin lightly smacked Klye on the back of her head. Maybe that's why Uriel is mad at her, she wants to drink with her teammates. But why is he mad at her though? He said he's going out too and I don't see any problem with Klye's agenda after this.
Right now they're shouting at each other about who cleans the most, Renzo came and he brought a friend with him. He introduced the guy to us, based from Renzo's words he's their old schoolmate. His name is Josh, he's tall and looks mature for his age—but in a good way. He must be a model or something... Josh caught me staring at him and he smiled at me so I quickly looked away. That was embarrassing!
"Lipat lipat ka pa kasi ng UP! 'Yan tuloy namimiss mo rin ang Paskuhan!" Renzo said and I felt my face heat up when I heard him say UP. Suddenly, thoughts of me and Mavy at the Sunken Garden occupied my head.
I didn't noticed that Klye left when Joaquin asked me if I'm okay. "Sure ka? Baka nangangalay ka na, pwede naman tayong umupo." He said.
I shook my head, "I'm fine." I said.
"Sure ka ha?" Joaquin repeats, "Sayang kasi kapag masama pakiramdam mo tapos Ben&Ben na yung susunod na magpeperform."
"Who?" I asked and looked at the stage, "Are they performing right now?"
"Hindi pa, mamaya pa set nila." Joaquin said, "Favorite band ko 'yon. Nasubaybayan ko kasi sila nung nagsisimula pa sila, doon sa 70s Bistro. Kung saan may gig, pupunta ako. It's so fulfilling to see them grow, alam mo 'yon? Parang nagpapalaki ng anak." He laughed.
"What's subaybay?" I smiled at him sheepishly, I understood him but I just don't know what that word meant.
"You know, you always ask me Tagalog words that has a lot of definitions." Joaquin put his hand on top of my head, "It means observing, tracking, monitoring or keeping a close watch on them. Pero I did it not in a bad way ha! I'm not a stalker." He ruffles my hair and it became messy.
