The late morning sun was shining over the damp grassy campground, boulders, and the steadily flowing, foaming waterfall. At its base, your little group of friends set up tents and the beloved barbeque grill.
"Jones!" called your albino boyfriend, Gilbert, "Bring over the coal will ya?"
There was no sound from the man whose surname was Jones, otherwise known as Alfred, the American.
"Where did he go? ____, did you see him anywhere?" Gilbert asked you.
"Are you sure you didn't forget him back at Toni's house?" You smirked as you were helping Michelle and Alice set up the tents.
"I'm here, I'm here!" the chirpy voice of Alfred resounded as he noisily emerged from behind the trees and bushes.
"Where have you been, you asshole?" Gilbert grabbed his friend in a chokehold and dragged him out, "Were you hogging the snacks again?"
A drop of sweat trickled down Alfred's nervous face as he stayed silent.
"We will find out," Antonio grabbed Francis' arm and went among the trees; they came back almost immediately with a stash of empty packets of chips and candies.
"Ugh! I knew it!" Gilbert smirked as he dragged Alfred near the edge of the stream.
"Dude, chill!" Alfred frantically started slapping Gilbert's arm in an attempt to surrender, "You're not going to-"
And Gilbert flung the screaming Alfred into the stream, laughing loudly while the rest of you watched. You were especially shocked.
You knew Gilbert was really reckless with his boys but you didn't expect he'd literally fling his friend in the water like that. What caught you off guard more was the fact that Gilbert was able to carry Alfred up and toss him like a Frisbee. Alfred was pretty heavy and Gilbert, obviously, was pretty strong.
"That's what you get for being a sneaky bastard!" Gilbert continued laughing.
You came forward and caught your boyfriend's arm. He looked at you and found a worried look on your face.
"Babe, what's wrong?" he quickly turned to you and caught your shoulders.
"Is Alfred okay? You do know there are rocks there and if you yeet him in the stream his head could crack open and he could die!" you exclaimed.
Gilbert cast a glance behind him at the stream and saw Alfred hastily emerging out of the water.
"Look over there," he pointed, "Alfred's a-okay. I threw him where there are no rocks. Plus, he's a good swimmer, so there's nothing to worry about,"
You grimaced. Before you said another word, Alfred came up behind your boyfriend and wrapped his arms tight around his waist.
"Bro, what-"
