____ was my best friend. She has been my best friend for quite a bunch of months, but only recently, I realized I was falling for her.

I never told her that I liked her. What if she didn't feel the same? It would probably ruin our friendship. I don't want that. It's such a task to stow away these feelings. They could burst out anytime, resulting in me being a mess.

It was annoying, yet these feelings made me happy. Night after night, her face was all I could see when I close my eyes. Knowing that I'm not even her type of guy frustrated me to the point that I would kick my legs and the blanket.

I hated wearing a "mask" to cover it up, but I kept reminding ourselves of the friendship we nurtured over the months. I'm not going to smash them in pieces.

We were in the same class and we much to my delight, we had our seats right next to each other. When class was going on, I'd glance at her beautiful face, so concentrated on the lesson and I couldn't help but stifle a grin.

"You're beautiful. Don't we look good together?" is what I would say to her, but I didn't have the guts to say so.

How frustrating.

One fine day, during lunch break I heard some people gossip about ____. From what I heard, apparently, ____ has a boyfriend. 

What? That can't be true right? I'm usually the first person she'd come to if she has anything exciting to say. But, if she does have a boyfriend, why didn't she tell me? 

I decided to confront her afterwards about it. 

After lunch break, we assembled in our classroom and the teacher announced,

"Since exams are approaching, classes will be on hold. Today, all of you will be doing self study."

I tried not to stifle a grin. This was the best moment to ask her about it. Our teacher sat down and resumed his work. ____ and I looked at each other and grinned. 

I took out some paper, wrote down something and passed it to her:

Y.S: I heard rumors about you

___: Me? What rumors?

Y.S: They say you have a boyfriend. Is that true?

___: What?? NO no that's not true. If I did have one, you know you'd be the first one I'd tell right?

Y.S: Yes ofc

___: I don't have a bf but I like someone else though

Y.S: And why do I not know about it?

___: Bc I'm so embarrassed to tell you who! What if you think I'm weird??

Y.S: Well you're weird already so I wouldn't be surprised if your choice was weird ;)

___: Well you're weird too ya nasty

Y.S: Let's get married then ;) ;)

___: WHAT!!!

Y.S: I'm jk chill yo

I was snickering to myself as she wrote down her reply with an alarmingly red face. I wondered what happened. She avoided eye contact as she passed me the paper.

___: I'll tell you who I like.

___: I like you

I stared at the paper in disbelief and then looked at her. She hung her red face down to save her the embarrassment. From any other person's view, she would look like she was studying hard, but no.

It took me a moment to digest that. I quickly wrote down:

Y.S: You're not joking right?

___: Which part of my confession sounds like a joke?

Y.S: You really do have a weird choice

___: What?

Y.S: I guess the rumors were true after all

___: No they're not. I just told you I don't have a boyf

And then she stopped writing. I guess she realized by now. She looked at me with wide eyes and I smiled as I took the paper and wrote down the reply:

Y.S: You do have a boyfriend now

Y.S: I like you too

I honestly don't see many fics of South Korea or any Asian character (other than China, Japan and few others) so I thought wHY THE HELL NOT? And here is a smol cliche songfic which I enjoyed writing

I love the song "Beautiful" by BTS it legit makes me feel SO GOOd when they sing "You're beautiful~" and I just hnnnnnggggg especially when Taehyung (V) sings I JUST CANNOT

Okay sorry my fangirl feels have nowhere to go bc I don't have any BTS fangirl bffs ;-;
