Upon a bed of bloodstained daisies, a knight was found fallen.

Your berry collecting in the forest was interrupted when you saw this, and you rushed to him, throwing aside the basket in your hand.

A knight! And he's injured!

You saw that his arm was outstretched in front of him, his fingers still loosely curled around the handle of his broken, bloodstained sword.

"Sir! Sir!" you shook him and he groaned painfully in response.

I need to carry him home!

But you weren't sure how to carry him in a way which wouldn't hurt him. No matter, he'll be resting anyway. But first, I must check for injuries.

You turned him over on his back and he groaned again.

"Pardon me, Sir, but I have to check if you're injured." Over his armour, you saw no visible injuries, but the bleeding seemed to be coming from his legs and arms.

You inspected his arms and found wide, gaping cross-shaped slits on them at the back where there was no plating of armour, oozing with blood. They were so deep that you could see his muscle and bone.

"Arrows!" you finally guessed as you tore off some cloth from your skirt and poorly tied them around the man's arms and legs tightly as a makeshift bandage.

Oh, why did he pull out the arrows! They'll only do more harm than good!

"I'll take you to my home and I'll treat your wounds," you said, "I'll carry you and it will hurt but please bear with it. My home is just five minutes away,"

The knight groaned again, and you almost breathed a sigh of relief that he was still alive. With a "hup!" your strong arms carried him up, and you hurried back to your home. You didn't forget his broken sword, but left the basket of berries for the squirrels and birds to feast on.

He was heavy, even for you to carry, but you managed to keep yourself upright until you got him to the floor of your little living room. His blood was getting everywhere, but that wasn't a cause for concern.

You hurried to your bedroom and pulled out a little trunk that worked as your first aid kit. Carrying it to the man, you set it down, and then started to take off his armour as fast as you could.

There was no time to ask for permission. The armour understandably had many layers and you tirelessly peeled and undid all of the cords which held the parts together.

When the last layers were finally removed to reveal his bloodied undergarments, you remembered that you hadn't removed his helmet.

"How on earth could I forget," you shook your head and promptly took off his helmet.

Upon setting it aside, you found a pale young man with light brown shoulder length hair. Finding that his hair was tied at the back, you lifted his head gently and pulled at the cord which held his hair together.
