You were a young, new Parisienne fashion designer in the industry. You've made a few designs before, but they never really sold well. Besides that, fashion experts described your designs as "weak" and "unoriginal".
But, that didn't dim your passion. You kept working, yet everything you did led you to square one. You then decided to be an apprentice for some major designer and learn the ropes for a few years.
That's when you came across "Antoinette", a brand that has been around for quite a few years. It had made for itself quite a name by producing unique designs, which looked classy to you.
Before you knew it, you were at its headquarters in Paris. You walked up to the receptionist and asked her if you could meet one of the designers.
Unfortunately for you, she declined saying that the designers were busy people and they had to prepare a new line of clothing. Dejected, you made your way out, when someone stopped you,
"Mademoiselle?"
You turned around to find a young man with a curious expression on his face. He wore a caramel colored coat with an emerald turtleneck underneath, black jeans, and a pair of sturdy looking brown brogue shoes. His shiny blond hair was left open, and you just stared at him for two seconds with slightly wide eyes.
"Yes?" you finally responded, after a moment of taking in all that handsomeness and impeccable style.
"You dropped this." He held out a handkerchief, which definitely was yours.
"Oh! Thank you very much." you blushed shyly and quickly took your handkerchief.
"You're welcome." he smiled, and then added, "I just happened to overhear your conversation with the receptionist."
"And from what I heard, you seem to want to meet a designer who works here."
"Yes, that's right." you nodded.
"Why, exactly?" he questioned. And so, you told him your story. When you were done, he nodded, humming in deep thought.
"If that's the case, you can get an internship here and you can work with me. I can teach you everything you need to know." He offered.
"Really?" your eyes lit up.
Both of you talked a little more, exchanged contacts, and business cards, and then bid each other good bye. As you walked into your favorite café and got yourself a croissant and a coffee, you couldn't stop smiling.
"Francis Bonnefoy, hm?" you sipped your coffee with a feeling of delight, "I can't wait to work with him."
----
A few weeks had passed and you had already applied for an internship in Antoinette's headquarters.
Ever since then, you've been diligently listening, writing, and practicing everything Francis had taught you about fashion. Everything from choosing color schemes, complementary colors, drawing lessons, patterns, and what not.
You had showed him your designs before, and unfortunately for you, he too had to agree with fashion critics and say that your designs were rather unoriginal. But he helped you with that too.
He was patient with you, yet a little strict sometimes, especially when you chicken out at the sight of a scissor and cloth in your hand, afraid of not cutting the cloth properly.
Apart from that, he was a charming ladies' man, a man of impeccable character, responsibility, and elegance. He was respected and respectful of others, and highly esteemed, trusted and loved by other designers.
