"Alexander, we're having dinner tomorrow with Angelica and Peggy," Eliza tells her husband as she walks into his study.

"Why do I feel like you have more to say?" Alexander asks as he takes off his glasses and places them on his desk.

"Well, Jefferson's coming as well," She says slowly.

Alexander scowls. "Why does that prick have to come?"

"Because Angelica wants him too," Eliza explains and Hamilton rolls his eyes. Truth be told Hamilton found Jefferson's and Angelica's friendship to be extremely unsettling. Angelica was one of the smartest people Hamilton knew and he found it very strange that she would ever fraternize with somebody like Thomas Jefferson.

Alexander thought that surely she would be able to see what a horrible person Thomas truly was, but she seemed to be falling for his charm. Anytime Alexander would so much as utter anything bad about Jefferson Angelica was quick to come his defense and it made Hamilton sick.

"Fine." He agrees, although he is far from happy with this arrangement.

"I would like it if you could pretend not to hate his guts."

"I can't make any promises."

"Alexander," Eliza says with an exasperated sigh, he just stubbornly looks at her. "Please, do it for me." His lips curl into a frown but he nods his head in agreement. "Thank you." She says and kisses him on the lips before retreating into the living room.

Alexander groans as he places his glasses back on his face. He knows for a fact that this dinner is not going to go well.

...

The sound of the doorbell rings through the Hamilton household. "Alexander, could you get the door?" Eliza asks as she stirs whatever is brewing on the stove.

"Of course." He leaves the kitchen and goes to the front door. He opens it and standing before him on the other side is Angelica and Thomas Jefferson. Hamilton cocks his head to the side in confusion.

It would appear that they came here together, but that wouldn't make any sense, considering Angelica and Jefferson's house were on opposite sides of the city. It would be completely stupid to have one pick the other up and pass Hamilton's house, then circle around and come to Hamilton's house.

That would mean that they were at each other's house. Now that isn't strange for friends but Hamilton still found it questioning.

"Hi, Angelica." He says, completely ignoring Jefferson's presence. He decided the best way to get through the night is to pretend that Thomas isn't even there. He widens the door so the both of them can get in.

"Hey, Alexander." Angelica greets and rolls her eyes at him ignoring Thomas, but Thomas just grins.

"Eliza is cooking right now but she's almost done so you can get settled in," Hamilton informs as he closes the door. Just as they start to walk into the kitchen the doorbell rings again. He walks back to the door and swings it open revealing Peggy.

"Hiya guys," She says cheerily and she pushes past Hamilton before he can even get the chance to widen the space. She walks over to where Angelica and Thomas are standing, before gripping Angelica in a bear hug.

"Peggy, I can't breath," Angelica gasps and Peggy reluctantly lets go of her before smiling.

"Sorry, just missed you."

"Peggy you saw me yesterday." Angelica laughs.

"Exactly, way too long of a gap." She smiles before going to Thomas for a hug, she hugs him in the same bone-crushing way she did Angelica before stepping back.
