Thomas was smart and while his current predicament would say otherwise wise he was truly intelligent. Just not Angelica intelligent.

Thomas Jefferson was no match for Angelica Schuyler, she knew how to play him like no other. She always somehow got her way with him, because who was he to deny her anything? And she always had to one-up him.

Even in baking cookies.

He wasn't a great cook or baker. Maybe that's why he was covered with all the ingredients needed to make cookie dough. Angelica though was a splendid cook and baker (showoff). That was probably why her cookies were in the oven and why she and her clothes were immaculately clean.

He really didn't know how he ended up in this situation and he honestly didn't know how or why he let Angelica goad him into a baking competition. He couldn't bake!

But she had challenged him and he couldn't back down from a challenge. So he agreed, he agreed like the idiot she knew him to be.

But hey, at least he was her idiot. Though probably not anymore if he didn't get her kitchen cleaned up. Because behind the victorious grin he could see the warning.

Yeah, he better get to cleaning.

So much for proving her wrong, at least he'd get to eat the cookies she made.
