His eyes are on her, always, there is never a moment in time when she does not have his full attention.
Thomas doesn't exactly know what it is, the thing that pulls his eyes towards Angelica. Perhaps it's the need to protect her, keep her from harm's way, and when his eyes are on her there is a very slim chance anybody could ever hurt her.
It's more than just him wanting to protect her, though. He knows that, it's quite apparent, especially when his lips part into a smile at the very sight of her.
Thomas doesn't know if Angelica is even aware that she has him completely bewitched, under a spell she probably doesn't even know she's cast.
He wonders if she can feel his gaze on her as she talks with her sisters all the way across the room.
His eyes drift back to her continuously, breaking contact with Lafayette, again and again, just to watch her smile.
Lafayette's rolling his eyes at Thomas every time it happens, which is quite frequently, his complaints don't reach Thomas though.
Angelica has his full attention.
Always and forever.
