ARK was not scared. He was really not. Why would he be scared? It's not as if talking to Samuel was a walk towards the edge of the cliff that if Samuel didn't like his answers, he'd just push him and then Ark would fall and die a cruel death.

No, he was not scared.

Okay, maybe a little.

He couldn't help but to envision what would happen if they talked. It was like something was turning his stomach upside down that he couldn't even swallow his favorite food without feeling nauseous. He felt he would vomit and in a few moments his heart would come out with excitement.

He was not scared. He was nervous.

Well, Caspian said Samuel eats human for breakfast. Maybe if he had told Samuel what his friend had said about it, he might have turned his anger on Caspian?

This was not what he imagined. When he talked to Samuel over the phone, he was not even nervous. He was confident! He was sure everything would fall smoothly, a free fall, but no! Ark felt like he was sliding down a slide with so many twists and turns it made his head and stomach ache.

He was restless while preparing breakfast. He was sure that the food would either taste bland or taste too much for a normal tongue to take. He made sure Archilla's breakfast was good, though.

He made Archilla's breakfast first and after that, everything had finally sunk deep into his whole being.

Samuel was here and he's gonna torture him to death.

Okay, he's over reacting. Who wouldn't?

When he made sure everything was settled, he covered Samuel and Caspian's food. Since the two were taking a rest, Ark thought they'd wake up after an hour or so. They could just heat up the food in the microwave.

Carrying the food tray, he exited the kitchen and walked the path that Caspian and Samuel had walked. That's where the rooms were located.

Ark's resthouse had four bedrooms so they didn't have to share. Except him and Archilla, of course.

He just hoped Samuel would not separate them. Ark couldn't sleep peacefully without Archilla by his side. He'd just sneak out at night and go to Archilla's room if Samuel chose to be a strict brother.

Samuel looked strict, though. If Ark didn't know, he'd mistake him as Archilla's father.

He carefully balanced the tray on his one hand and quickly opened the door to their room. He also quickly carried the tray with both hands because something might suddenly appear and startle him, the food he prepared would be ruined.

Though, Caspian was resting, Ark still had to be careful.

He entered the room and kicked the door shut. Archilla was still sleeping when he looked at her. He did not know if he would wake her up or let her sleep.

But she had to wake up now. He still needed to explain some things before he talked to Samuel. He did not want his brother to know the truth if he could tell.

He balanced the tray on the bed side table and climbed on the bed. He laid on his stomach beside Archilla, his elbows supporting his weight. He leaned forward and kissed her nose then her forehead.

"Wake up, Arch," he said gently and caressed her cheek.

Archilla groaned and held his hand that was caressing her cheeks, kissed it and then hugged it.

Ark chuckled and leaned more. "Wake up, baby. Breakfast is ready," he said giving her butterfly kisses.

"No," she groaned and encircled her arm around his neck. "Sleep more."
