She had done a load of laundry, showered and now found herself mindlessly flicking through tv channels, ever so slightly dozing off.
A loud knocking startled her awake, and when she opened her eyes it was dark inside the apartment aside from the glow of her tv screen. She grabbed the throw draped across her lap and wrapped it around herself before getting up to answer the door. She found Olivia standing outside. "I figured I'd drop by when I didn't hear anything back from the two voicemails I left. Everything alright?" She eyed up the young detectives exhaustion ridden face. "I'm so sorry Liv. I must've dozed off earlier. Come in, I'll hurry to change." "Not to worry. I brought the food to you." She said holding up the takeout bag. "Noah's with Lucy, so we have a bit." Erin nodded, still looking very apologetic. "I'll grab some plates, you sit down and make yourself at home." Erin said, heading across the room to the cupboards.
She fished out two plates and wine glasses, fishing the bottle off her counter and returned to the sofa. Laying the dishes down on the coffee table in front of them. Olivia unpacked the takeout boxes and slid one over to her. "Are you sure everything is alright? You can talk to me." Erin wrapped herself tighter in the throw, and looked down at her knees pulled up to her chest. "Just a doctors appointment I had today. Taking up a lot of mental capacity." She gave a small smile. Olivia looked concerned. "Did they tell you what was going on?" "No. They won't have any results back for at least a day or two. But she did tell me not to worry. So this is me, attempting that whole 'not worrying' thing." Olivia patted her fabric covered knees. "I'm sure everything is fine." She said in a reassuring tone. "Yeah. I think so too." She picked at the food and had yet to sip her wine. They chatted until take out was done, and Olivia glanced at her phone screen to check the time. It was late and she needed to get home. "You'll let me know what's going on when you know?" Erin nodded as she walked Olivia out. "Of course. Thanks for this Liv. Our weekly dinners make being here feel less lonely." "Always. I told Hank I'd look out for you." She said. "Night Liv." "Night Erin." She closed the door, and cleared the dishes before basically crawling toward her bed.
