I shuffled to school the next day with my eyes fixed on the pavement. I was exhausted out of my mind from staying up so late last night.
I was ready to turn in extra early, but Mahi recommended a series. The next thing I knew, it was three A.M. and I was watching the second season.
My peppy playlist pumped through my headphones in an attempt to wake me up.
Before I knew what was happening, people were swarming me. I ripped out my earbuds and heard questions being screamed at me.
"What is it like being All Might's student?"
"Are you in his class?"
"Is he just as dazzling in person?"
Looking at the news outlet microphones, I realized these were all journalists grasping for a juicy tidbit. I gritted my teeth and used my quirk to part the sea of story-hungry reporters.
It's too early for this shit.

"Decent work on yesterday's combat training, you guys. I saw the video feeds and went over each of your team's results." Mr. Aizawa droned.
"Bakugo. You're talented. Don't sulk like a child about your loss."
"Whatever," he grumbled. I snickered at his arrogance.
"You too L/n."
"Not sulking, just tired."
"Hm. Right then. Let's get down to business. You all need to pick a class representative."
The room erupted in people's proclamations of academic excellence.
I turned to Midoriya, who sat behind me. "Why is everyone so excited about this? Isn't this just a load of extra work?"
"Agencies like to see 'class representative' on a resume. It indicates that you can handle a group." he replied.
"Silence, everyone, please!" Iida bellowed, "The most logical way to fill this position is democratically."
"Is that really the best idea? We've only known each other for a week. How do we know who to trust?" Tsu questioned.
Kirishima added, "Besides, won't everyone just vote for themselves?"
"Probably! But that means whoever receives multiple votes must truly be the most suitable person for the job!" Iida retorted triumphantly.
"Whatever," the yellow caterpillar said, "Just decide before my nap's over."

"How did I get three votes?!"
How did he get three votes?!
"How did I get zero votes!"
Both Midoriya and Iida looked a mess.
"Sorry Iida," I chirped, scratching my head, "I would have voted for you, but I knew no one else would, so I voted for Yaoyorozu instead!"
"That's fine!" he spluttered.
"You sure? Your whole body is shaking!" I laughed. "Butseriouslyshouldibeworried?"
"So Mydoria is class representative and Yaoyorozu is deputy," Mr. Aizawa said, unzipping his sleeping bag.
"There has to be a mistake!" Midoriya stammered.
"That's all for today. Dismissed."
As the class filled out, I looked at the scoreboard again. Who the heck voted for me?
