Out of the corner of my eye, I spotted Mina staring at us intently. Bakugo seemed to notice as well because his whole demeanor changed.

He snarled and went back to angrily scooping up spoonfuls of strawberry shake, whipped cream, heart-shaped sprinkles, and edible glitter.

When I made eye contact with Mina, she made suggestive giggles and tickled my leg with her foot.

I glared at her with a look that could kill, which just made her laugh even more.

I kicked her shin under the table and was satisfied when her mischievous look quickly morphed into one of stifled pain.

Bakugo grunted decisively.

"Get up, Shitty Hair. I need to use the bathroom."

Again?!

Kiri did as he was told, and Bakugo stormed away.

Bakugo's POV

What's wrong with you?!

I paced back and forth in the private bathroom, going over what just happened in my mind.

About what I just did.

It's her fault, not mine!

She was the one . . . drawing me in. I thought about how flustered she looked - how rosy her cheek became . . . how she flinched under my touch.

I slammed my palms on the linoleum sink, looking at myself in the mirror.

My cheeks were red as well, though of anger or joy I couldn't tell - probably a combination of both.

"Get it together!" I hissed through gritted teeth, slapping myself across the face.

It stung a bit, but I felt I deserved it.

I flipped on the tap, splashed my face with water a few times to cool down, dried off, and headed back to the table.

Y/n's POV

By the time bakugo returned, everyone had mostly finished their shakes, and we waved down our waitress for the check.

"Could we get the check please?" Mina smiled shyly.

"Sure thing!" the redhead waitress said, rushing off.

She came back a minute later, check in hand.

"How would you like to pay?" she asked.

"We could split it?" I suggested to the group.

"Nonsense!" Mina interjected. "I'll cover it."

"No, you don't ha-" I began, but she had already whipped out her card and was signing her name.

Once the check was paid, everyone shuffled out of the booth, scraping the bottom of their glasses for the last of their shakes as they went.

Mina and Jiro, however, stay sitting.

"Are you coming, Jiro?" Kaminari said in a low gurgle that sounded like it was trying to be seductive.

"In a sec. You guys can head out. We'll catch up." Jiro answered, choosing to ignore Kami's strange tone.

I walked out of the restaurant with Baku, Kiri, and Kami.

The warmth of the sun was long gone by now. Though it wasn't freezing, the breeze was a bit cold for my liking.

I leaned against the windowsill of the shop and thought of how I would get home.

Absently looking over my shoulder through the window, I saw Jiro and Mina talking, still in the booth. They seemed to be getting closer and closer by the second.
