I wasn't the best at the rest of the tests, but I can't be worse than Midoriya.
During that first test, he broke his finger and was basically powerless for the rest of the assessment. I could tell the whole class was wondering about his unusual quirk.
Bakugo especially; he was still producing hot steam as we gathered around Mr. Aizawa to see our scores.
"I've ranked you all from best to worst. You should already have a good idea of where you are standing," he grumbled.
He projected a two-column list of names. I skimmed through it, disappointed when I reached the end of the first column without seeing my name.
I was uplifted when I saw my name in 12th place, just above Sato. That's the super-buff sugar guy, right? I looked over at him, surprised to see a slightly distraught looking average-sized guy.
Remembering what Mr. Aizawa said about expulsion, I continued to the bottom of the list. Midoriya. That's too bad. He seemed nice.
"By the way, I was lying. No one's going home. That's all."
Midoriya looked as if he was about to faint, and Bakugo was fuming. Looks like someone got his hopes up, I thought to myself, snickering.
"What are you giggling at, WIND BITCH?!" Bakugo growled.
"Nothing . . . heh," I chuckled, walking towards the building.

Bakugo's POV
After school, I strolled off school grounds, making my way home.
Rounding a corner, I saw L/n walking home ahead of me. I stopped in my tracks.
Shit! This bitch takes the same route as me? Just keep walking. Ugh, no. That makes it seem like I'm following her! I'll just wait for her to go farther ahead. That's fine!
. . .
Walk faster!
. . .
"This is so stupid!" I mumbled to myself. What the fuck is wrong with me? I stormed forward, barreling past L/n.
"Hey!" she hissed, "You fucking pushed me!"
I kept walking, my stomach sinking a bit. I've never had trouble being rude . . . so what is this FEELING?
Rounding another corner, I sprinted home as fast as I could.

Y/n's POV
It was the second day of school, and after a morning of mind-numbing classes, it was finally time for Hero Basic Training.
"I AM HERE! Coming through the door like a hero!"
Ooo's and Aah's filled the room as All Might strutted through the door. Not being a big fan, I didn't have much of a reaction.
He never really seemed genuine to me. The plastered smile, the cheesy mantras . . eh.
"Welcome to the most important class at UA high. Think of it as 'Heroing 101'" he declared." Today we will be doing . . . COMBAT TRAINING!"
In unison, Bakugo and I grinned, "Real combat!"
He turned around. "You're excited? What are you going to do, blow us away?"
"Well . . . yeah!" I beamed.
"Tch. Whatever."
All Might continued, "One of the keys of being a hero is . . . looking good!"
Costumes!
~*~
I stepped outside in my crisp new costume, which consisted of a violet sleeveless v-neck bodysuit that ended halfway down my thigh, and a pair of matching thigh-high boots.
A couple of students were already in their costumes. As soon as I stepped outside, Mineta sprinted toward me, screaming, "BOOBIES!"
I promptly blasted his face, making him fall on his butt.
"Stop that!" Tsu scolded him.
"But honky mommy milkers! But tiddies!" he whined.
I rolled my eyes. "Get help."
I became aware of Bakugo staring at my physique as well, paralyzed. His cheeks were already dusted red, but when he realized I was looking back at him, they eclipsed his eyes in color.
He quickly looked away, fidgeting angrily.
Once everyone else was ready, we walked over to Training Ground Beta. All Might stood in a heroic pose with his back facing us.
"Ah! Didn't see you there! Ha ha ha!" he turned around, flashing us a dazzling smile.
I rolled my eyes.
"Although most of the villain fights you see on the news are outside, run-ins with the most dastardly evil-doers take place inside. For this training exercise, you'll be split into teams of good guys and bad guys and fight in two-on-two indoor battles."
I cringed. My power can be difficult to control in small spaces. Hopefully, the space is big enough to create sufficient currents.
All Might explained the scenarios to us and began drawing lots.
katsukibakugou"Team D is . . . Bakugo and . . . L/n!"
Shit.
"Don't fuck this up, okay wind bitch?" he grunted
All Might stuffed his hands into a hero and a villain box. "I declare the first teams to fight will be . . . these two!" he said, holding up a black ball labeled 'D' and a white ball labeled 'A'.
Ooo! We're the villains! And Team A was Uruaka and Midoriya. I looked at Bakugo, who was currently looking at Midoriya with a look that could kill.
"Don't kill them, okay?" I teased, although I was half-serious.
"Tch."
~*~
"We only have five minutes to set up! We should really be coming up with a plan!" I berated. He just continued scraping his boot against the concrete tiles.
"HellOo! Is anyone in there?" I waved my hand in front of his face.
"Tch."
"Post-verbal! This conversation is post-verbal!" I scoffed.
Silence.
" . . . Do you think Midoriya really has a quirk?"
The question took me slightly off guard. "Of course! Did you see how he threw that ball during the quirk assessment? Why are you so sensitive when it comes to Midoriya?" I asked tentatively.
"I. Am not. Sensitive." he snarled, his fury filling the room.
"Team A and Team D! Your time starts now!" All Might's voice blared over the loudspeaker.
Bakugo went for the door. "I'm going after him."
"Don't!" I snapped, but he kept going. I launched towards him, seizing his bicep. He looked at me in shock, pink dusting his cheeks.
"Please!" I begged.
His features softened for a split second before hardening up even more. He extracted his arm from my grasp and ran through the door.
"For fuck sake Bakugo!" I said desperately.
