"I'm not ready to start again,
and you're not willing to make amends."

I flopped back on my bed pulling out my phone from my pocket. I looked around the room once more with a satisfied smile. I switched on my phone before going on Messenger.

(The Idiot Chat)

Ashlee: Guyssss, I just moved into the new flat

Ashton: Is your roommate nice? cause if they aren't then you're moving back with me

Calum: She could always move in with me?

Ashton: No way am I letting my little sister move in with you

Ashlee: No, Ash, my roommate is nice. He even helped me get my stuff to my room

Michael: He???

Ashton: A guy? Okay, you're moving out!

Michael: Is he good-looking?

Ashton: You're not helping Michael

Ashlee: Yes, he is. He has the brightest blue eyes and his blonde hair, oh don't get me started on that pile of perfection

Michael: Shìt

Calum: He sounds like a heartbreaker

Ashton: I agree, you're moving out

Michael: I think you should give her a chance to live there first, Ash

Ashlee: Thanks, Mikey xx

Michael: No problem xx

Calum: I'd be more worried about Michael than her hot roommate

Calum: Oops, wrong chat

Michael: I saw that, mate -_-

I laughed to myself before throwing my phone onto the bedside table. It'd been a long day of unpacking, and I was tired. I did like the apartment, and it was cheap rent too. My brother can be a bit overprotective sometimes but Ashton means no harm.

I heard the soft sound of a guitar being played, it was coming through the gap underneath my closed door. I wondered whether it was my roommate playing, if so, he was really good. I pulled my blanket over my body before drifting off to the sound of the guitar.

* * *

I woke up to the sound of my phone buzzing repeatedly. I picked it up with a groan to see it was the boys messaging on the chat.

Ashton: Ashlee, are you alive?

Calum: I hope her hot roommate didn't murder her :/

Ashton: Shut up Cal

Calum: He would've strangled her to death. She would've watched as his sexy body piled on top of hers and his firm hands wrapped around her neck

Michael: Oh god, that would've been so hot!

Calum: I know, right?

Ashton: Next band practice is at my house

Calum: Why?

Ashton: So I can cut off your thumbs for talking about my sister that way

Michael: No, not my thumbs I just got them tattooed!

Ashlee: Wtf did I just read?

Calum: She lives!

Ashton: Oh, is2g I was worried

Ashlee: No need to cut off Michael's thumbs

Michael: Yay

Calum: What about me?

Ashlee: You didn't pay lots of money to get tattoos on them

Calum: But I need them!

Ashlee: What for?

Michael: To play base

Michael: And to play with himself

Ashlee: :'D

Calum: Really, Michael?

Michael: ;)

Ashlee: ;P

Michael: :*

Ashlee: :*

Calum: Ashton are you seeing this?

Calum: Ash, you there?

Michael: He's having a shower

Ashlee: How do you know?

Michael: Cause he is at my house :P

Calum: Whyyyy

Michael: Because he likes my pickle more than yours

Calum: No

Michael: Because it's bigger

Ashlee: Well

Calum: Ashlee don't listen to him the smaller ones are better

Calum: They're tastier

Calum: Especially when they are glazed

Ashlee: Are you talking about food? I'm confused

Calum: The best kind of food

Calum: It'll fill you up for hours

Michael: Calum, stop!

Calum: Is Ashton back?

Michael: No, just don't talk to my gurlfrand that way

Calum: Whut?

Ashlee: Cause Mikey is my gurlfrand forever

Michael: Our friendship is stronger than your roommate's firm hands

Ashlee: Mhmm, gurl you're so right

Michael: I know *flips hair over shoulder*

Calum: You know it's written 'girl' right? Not 'gurl'

Calum: Iditots

Michael: Idiot, you spelt it wrong

Calum: Auto correct :/

Michael: Sure

I groaned and rolled out of my bed. They woke me up so early. My clock now reads: 6:45 am. The boiling of a kettle made me happy that I wasn't the only one awake at this hour. I stood up from the créme coloured carpet and walked to my dresser. I pulled out a black Nirvana t-shirt and a white skirt and tucked my shirt into the skirt, leaving some loose.

I put my light brown hair into a side braid - it took a few minutes to plait it down to my stomach. It was straight, unlike my brother's. I missed out on the curly hair gene. I was kind of happy about that but a few loose strands had a slight kink in them.

My brown eyes were nothing special, just a dark hazel colour with a small tint of green. I applied some mascara. I also applied some eyeliner to my bottom eyelids. I dusted a little bit of foundation on but I didn't need to go overboard with it. I contemplated whether I should put some shoes or socks on to walk out into the kitchen. I just shrugged my shoulders and walked out as I was.
