~Bonus Chapter 3~

Tara's POV

"So, how have we been, ladies?" Isha asks all of us as we begin to pour red wine into several glasses.

Us girls decided to catch up with one another at my place because we haven't really seen each other for some time since Sara has given birth.

"Aarav and I are really tired because of Prabhas but we wouldn't trade this for anything."

"I bet," Zoya giggles before looking at Isha. "How have you and Kabir been?"

"He's still acting like an idiot but that's nothing new, is it?"

"Definitely not." Sara says and we all agree while laughing.

"How are you and Dev?" Sara asks Zoya and she lifts up two thumbs to indicate that they're both good.

Isha nudges my arm slightly as I stare into my wine glass. "Tara, how are you and Veer?"

"Better than ever." I bluntly reply back, not looking up at any of them.

"Are you sure?"

I nod my head at Sara's question. "Yeah, why would not I be?"

"You sound kind of unsure." Zoya puts out before saying more. "Are you sure that you guys are okay?"

"Okay, maybe he's been a little distant lately but I'm sure that it's from his work."

"What do you mean by distant?" Zoya asks and I look up at all of them before spilling out everything that he's been doing for the past week.

"He's been coming home later than he normally does. He doesn't eat dinner at home for some reason. He doesn't answer his phone as much now."

"Tara, you should ask him what's wrong." Isha tells me, cutting me off before I start again.

"I would, if I ever saw him." I state, going back to staring at my wine glass.

Sara gets up from the her spot at the island and stands next to me, wrapping a comforting arm around me. "How late has he been coming back?"

"Probably after one in the morning." I mumble.

"His usual time?" Zoya asks.

"Used to be before seven at night."

"That's shady." Isha states, resting her head on top of mine.

"You're telling me."

Sara places my phone on the table in front of me. "Try calling him now?"

"No use," I take a sip of my wine. "He won't answer even if I do."

"I'm sure there's an explanation to it." Zoya tells me, even though I know that she's not certain.

"I really hope so."

I strain the rest of the pasta as I walk to the kitchen, getting the sauce out to add it into the steaming pot.

I head keys jingling from the other side of the main door and I continue to do my work.

"Tara?" I hear Veer's voice from behind me and I give him a blunt response.

"Surprised you're home early."

"I'm always home at this time."

"Are you kidding me?" I exclaim, no longer able to keep this inside me. "You been coming home past midnight lately. You haven't been answering my calls and you don't eat dinner here anymore."

"I've been busy." He says shortly, making me want to rip my hair out.

"With what?"

"Work."

"Work?" I question him, "If you're busy with work then you can at least me and tell me that you're still alive."

"Tara, can you at least look at me?"

I feel like I'm in a dream when I turn around and see that he's down on one knee. My hands immediately fly up to my face, covering my mouth in shock. My eyes start to tear up as Veer smiles nervously up at me.

"This is what I have been busy with for the past week." He starts off saying, "Sara called me and demanded an explanation from me so I told her what I was doing."

"And what have you been doing?" I ask him, trying to recover from my initial shock.

"You're about to find out." He lets out a breathy chuckle before clearing his throat, taking a deep breath. "I still remember the first I laid my eyes on you, you were extremely drunk but you didn't fail to keep me intrigued. You almost immediately gave me this feelings that you didn't need anyone in your life and that you can handle whatever life throws at you."

I laugh a little to myself, wiping a stray tear that fell down my face as I wait for him to continue.

"I still knew that I had to get to know you but only when you were hundred percent sober. I still find it funny that you poured an entire punch bowl on you and decided to hug everyone you saw." I giggle at the memory of my stupid self.

"You woke up the next and you were confused on the fact that there was a shirtless guy next you in an unknown room but little did I know that I was going to be immediately hooked on you and whatever you were going to offer. I knew that you were the one for me."

He looks away for a second and lets out a quick breath before turning back to me. I couldn't help the tears when he looked at me.

"Tara Kumar, will you make me the happiest man alive and marry me?"

I already know that he knows what my answer is going to be because he's already slipping the ring onto my finger.

I couldn't help but let out a laugh as I shake my head at the sheepish expression that's plastered on his face.

He got up lightening fast and I was immediately in his arms, pressing his lips on my forehead.

"I love you so much." I whispered after we separated from the long hug. He smiles down at me and whispers back. "I love you too."

And after about hundred thousand years of not updating, I finally finished the book!!

My first book is completed but I'm going to be writing more and more books because it actually gets quite addicting only if school didn't decide to be a pain.

Thank you all so much for all the support you guys have gave me and I really hope you guys enjoy my projects x
