PIRATES WITH BARGAINING POWER

When I slowly came too, my head was pounding. I had to blink a multitude of times to try and get my surroundings to come back in focus. The light streaming in came from random slits in the wall, but I could smell the evident odor of urine and sweat, indicating I was somewhere I didn't want to be.

My entire body felt groggy like I was waking up with a terrible hangover and trying to remember everything that occurred beforehand. But I didn't even dare to take a sip of that putrid green drink they offered.

I just got knocked the fuck out instead.

That's when I heard shuffling around as a blurry figure slowly came into focus next to me. "Obi?" I said with a slur, catching sight of the familiar clone armor chest piece next to me as I heard a low groan. Laying a few feet away from me was Obi-Wan, who was only seemingly in a worse state than me as he actually appeared to be hungover, being brought out of his drug-induced sleep.

I sat up, well tried to sit up, which was quickly prevented, seeing as my wrists were bound with electrical cuffs and a matching electrical bond tied around my waist, connecting Obi-Wan and I. At least a positive was my hands were cuffed in front of me.

Slowly, I reached up to try and rub the throbbing from a knot on the back of my head where I was whacked, but I quickly let out a pain-filled groan from the contact. "Damn pirates," I mutter under my breath as my vision comes entirely into focus, and I come to realize we are in a prison cell.

Obi-Wan wasn't in much of a better state; his eyes were bloodshot, and he was groaning as he lay flat on his back. "Ah, well, I guess that pirate brew was stronger than we thought," Obi-Wan said slowly before carefully opening his eyes as if he could blink the drugs from his system.

"We? I didn't take one sip," I corrected him, my mind dizzy. "I just got jumped from behind by them and knocked out."

"Well, I was drugged, obviously."

"No kidding," I stated while I watched him slowly gather himself into a sitting position like a sailor who'd just gotten off a rocking ship.

"I seem to remember you calling me a lightweight," he declares.

"That was before I knew they drugged you."

"You think I would be that drunk after one drink?"

"How would I know? I've only gone out drinking with you once," I try to defend myself, but he only frowns at me.
