TIME REVEALS ALL
I don't know if it's just me, but I can always tell when I'm in the hospital because of the particular sterile scent hitting my nose. Not to mention the fact that my head was aching. But no throbbing, just a never-ending ache. I couldn't even open my eyes because my eyelids felt heavy, the weight of them holding them down. I didn't even attempt to move anything. My entire body felt like a dull numb except for my aching head.
All I knew was I could breathe. Which I guess had to mean I was alive.
I could hear and smell everything but the only thing that was occupying my senses currently was the pain. I couldn't even groan to express how I was feeling.
Goodness knows how long I was even there. I knew I was in the hospital, the overwhelming smell and constant monitors checking my activity made that much clear. Hours felt like seconds. Days felt like hours. There was no telling how long I was there. My body felt as if I were in some sort of weird dimension, like limbo or something. I was aware of things happening around me and yet I could do nothing to interact. Almost as if someone else was controlling me.
I'm almost positive Embry and Tito visited me a handful of times during my stay, but I couldn't be too sure considering I haven't seen them in so long their voices were starting to fade from my memory. Even if they did visit me, as happy as it makes me knowing they did, I know they couldn't come and see me as often as they might have liked. Just because I was suffering in a hospital doesn't mean they can put a halt to their training, which I completely understand. No way if that happened to either one of them would Master Yoda allow me to drop my responsibility to be by their side all the time.
Master Yoda certainly visited me at least three times a week, as if I could ever forget his voice. It wasn't surprising that he was checking on me. Unlike the surprising fact that he was always accompanied by Master Windu and Chancellor Palpatine.
As if that wasn't weird enough, I know my room was slam packed with flowers because of their scents flooding my nose twenty-four-seven within the room that was a gift from the Chancellor practically every other hour.
Anakin and Padmé were no surprise to me. They must have been in my room every second they could spare. I always knew when Anakin was there, I didn't even need the Force to know it. I just knew. Padmé was easy enough too because the only other female voices in my room were the nurses and I recognized Padmé's voice enough to know who she was. But even Anakin wasn't my most frequent visitor.
I couldn't tell you how many times Obi-Wan came to visit me.
In all honesty, I'd lost count.
I would always hear the footsteps first, following a closed-door with the Force only identifying the source until he was close enough to where I could feel him. He usually took my hand in his and would talk to me. For the most part, giving me updates on everything that happened since I'd arrived in the hospital. For instance, the fact that they knew a war, that was quickly becoming known as the Clone Wars, was initiated after the entire incident I'm assuming put me in the hospital.
