Chapter 36: Despair Slowly Creeping In
SOME of them might be thinking, why would she have to resort to killing? However, Luna's reply to that is simple. Why not if it's someone as irritating as that two-faced girl who was already given a chance to cherish life a little longer but kept on doing the same, wrong action against her? Just what the fuck her brain was made of? Why is she so stupid?
Not at all times a person is given another chance. So, if a person was already given it before, she should make the most of it and appreciate it fully and not just waste it for a pointless command. Also, not everyone is given a second chance. Those who are given it should be just thankful.
She's not a puppet. She refused to be their puppet! That's why she would never act as if she's a goody two shoes that's always following her master's order like that girl. She's not in a book where the main character always rescued her people from the villainous people doing evil actions. She's already cursed, why not live with it, right? As far as she could remember, the existing cursed people in their world were already those who've committed grave mistakes in their past lives. Since they want her to do that difficult work, shouldn't they have to agree with her terms and conditions whatever it might be as long as she accomplishes it?
"Alright, Luna!" Shiki said with an innocent smile but the aura that he released was full of danger that brought the girl back to reality.
Ah, yes. They are still on the ship. It is too boring to watch the pointless battle that is currently in front of them now that she even forgot about it.
"Shiki, where's Shiro? Make the fight quick as well as I want to leave this rotten ship now," Luna said while yawning.
"Zaeion is holding Shiro and then the other one with us in the room is also with Zaeion. I don't think they know how to fight or maybe they're just lazy so they're just behind the door of this floor," Shiki replied with a wide smile on his face.
Up until now, Azer has been wondering; how could someone as little and as cute as Shiki would manage to quickly change for a short period of time? Like, where the heck did the cuteness and innocence go when he first met him? The answer, it didn't disappear. It's still there. Just that, this was already his attitude even before the abduction happened.
When he was four, he was already taught how to survive in the wild, except he wouldn't be matched to anyone who knew magic before that's why he was in an awful state the first time he met Luna. But of course, because of her, he learned a lot of things and that includes wielding his own magic. He's always thankful for everything she had done to him that's why he could even serve her for the rest of his life. To cut it short, anything that's connected to Luna could make him go berserk like an animal in the wild.
"Where are you going? Your opponent is here, stupid." Harriel raised an eyebrow at his opponent who planned to run away but didn't succeed because of his speed.
"Where else but towards that monster girl!? I'll kill her as well as that short boy!" Arthur replied with eyes glaring over the direction of Luna which caused Shiki's gaze to turn to where he was.
The boy's eyes lost their vitality and his lips lined up as a sign that he was not happy with what he heard.
"Insult everyone else except my cutest Luna or else, hell will break loose," Shiki said calmly as he bent his head down while his body was shaking and releasing a very menacing aura that pushed Arthur away.
In a blink of an eye, Arthur was already in front of the boy with seemingly dead eyes. After that, he was not even able to move when he felt as if his world suddenly rotated. His sister cried out in fear that made him wonder. But it was too late to realize what had happened next.
Arthur was easily killed by Shiki. He was easily killed by a child-looking person who seemed to be the purest when he first showed up. He was beheaded by Shiki using the sword-like branches of the tree that suddenly grew on the wooden floor, just after the estranged and beautiful woman named Luna was insulted.
Anne shouted and cried in anguish because of the death of his brother. However, Luna was so full of it that she couldn't bear it anymore, so she raised her left hand and pointed her index finger towards her direction.
Minutes later, the noisy woman was already like a market meat that's ready to be sold—diced in a beautiful and aesthetic way while bathing in her own pool of blood that was also splattered everywhere.
Harriel and Azer were stunned by what they witnessed. What kind of brutality is that? How did a little boy and beautiful maiden do it? What exactly did the girl do to make the enemy look like that?
Velsek, on the other hand, almost ran away in the hope of escaping. But then, his little hope also immediately disappeared when after going out the room, he saw what's waiting for him; a weird looking animal that's emitting strong magic beyond his league while its sharp teeth are sticking out and glaring at him.
The leader staggered, almost lost his balance as he trembled in fear. Many times he looked back and forth and wondered, in what way would he rather die; to a beautiful monster in disguise, to a boy who looked as if could never do anything bad but already killed two of his trusted men or to a weird-looking monster who even managed to emit stronger power than his?
He wants to leave! He is surrounded by monsters! What the hell is this place!? It's not his safe haven anymore!
SHIRO breathed a sigh of relief. A while ago, a man was holding him captive as well but he tried to escape as quickly as possible to help his master. Fortunately, it was just a small fry he easily finished off then came to where he felt Luna's presence.
"Shiro?" the man who was with him said in an astonished tone. The man has a pair of eyes that have the same color as the sky while his hair was the total opposite; it was the darkest shade of blue.
"Shit! Why am I surrounded? Where the hell are the other members? Everyone is useless!" Velsek said to himself as despair slowly started to sink in his system as even when the boy who blocked the door earlier left, two men were still waiting outside the room and one of them looked deadly like those in the room with him.
"Zaeion, you are having a hard time fighting, right?" Russu asked the man beside him.
Zaeion nodded, signaling the young man to help him. After hearing his reply, Russu carelessly pushed Zaeion to face the leader of the group who tried to abduct him.
"Take care." Zaeion waved his hand before running forward and taking Shiro who was left on the ground there with them so that he wouldn't interfere with Russu's fight.
On the other hand, Russu, clicked his tongue, ignoring Zaeoion's remarks, as he soon after spat on the floor. Then, he directly looked into Velsek's eyes with an ominous aura that made the latter almost peed on his pants because of fear.
Russu then raised his eyebrows with an insulting smile on his lips.
"Hey... Is this really the leader of the group that abducted me? This old man does not even possess half of my full strength," Russu said in a tone filled with disappointment and disgust.
"Oh? If this isn't that guy from the group who attacked me in front of the Grigoras's gate... Russu, right?" Luna said with a hint of amusement and sarcasm on her face.
