The Missing piece

Chapter 18:The village of farmers

Anna was the first one to wake up, she found herself in a strange room with Aurora by her side, laying down there in something like a bed or a bench unconsciously, and apparently, her arm was broken but someone healed her wound. Anna was so confused but the horrible pain she felt was stronger than her confusion, it was more painful than the venom that almost killed her, she tried to walk out of that bed, once she put her feet down and stood up she falls down to realize that her leg was broken, apparently someone heard the sound of her hitting the ground and suddenly a small face showed up from behind the curtains which were made from big leaves. That person comes into the cottage to see what was going on, at that moment Anna was more surprised by what she just saw and starts screaming with all power she had; Aurora woke up to those screams and a couple of people come in to find out what was going on. They found Anna on the ground can't stand up and Aurora just woke up confused and afraid, Anna said:

· Who are you, people? What are we doing here?

The people in front of her didn't say a word and apparently, they couldn't say any. Those creatures started communicating and moving their hands in many directions to form some kind of messages; obviously, that's how they talked with each other. Anna realized right away that they are deaf so they only communicate through the language of the sign but she couldn't understand them, in that moment she remembered her mother who was always asking her to learn it in case she had to deal with someone in that situation, but she never listened to her mom's instructions. While they were talking she noticed that one is giving instructions to someone else who that just left. They kept standing there like status a couple of weird short creatures with no noses and cannot speak a word. What an odd place to be in!

Anna and Aurora tried to keep it together and believe that those people want no harm since they helped Aurora to heal her broken arm and cured Anna's injured leg. They stayed like that for minutes looking at each other, waiting for that guy to come back, suddenly he entered followed by another person who seemed a bit different and definitely taller than the rest of the others:

· Listen, miss, we won't hurt you, we just found you guys outside our village and brought you here to heal your wounds, we don't want to harm anyone.

The girls were a bit surprised, they were thinking "how come one of the people can speak and the others can't", Anna said:

· Where's Adam....Evander...

· What happened to the boys? Where's Shadow? Aurora was afraid too, but especially concerned about the guy she likes.

· The guys are doing fine; you girls need to calm down, I will take you to my father he will explain everything. That guy said

After their little conversation, he asked them to follow him so they can meet his father who happens to be their leader, that man supposed to explain and answer all the questions they have. Once they stepped out of the cottage their eyes opened so widely and their mouths almost dropped from the big surprise. That village looked like heaven on earth, filled with short and friendly people; the whole ground was planted with every sort of flowers in various colors almost all the colors of the world, to construct a fabulous and gorgeous masterpiece, the only odd thing the girls noticed the cottages had no doors and apparently everyone could see what's going on inside every house, they seemed like they have no idea what privacy means.

Anna asked the kid about their houses his answer completely shut her down:

· We don't have doors, not because we can't build ones (He laughed for a second) no one hides anything here, that's how we live. We kind of believe that building doors are like building walls of hypocrisy and differences between us, and we absolutely don't want all of that.

The girls were impressed by what they just heard they got so fascinated by the way those people think and what they believe in. They kept walking behind that kid while the tiny and curious eyes were following them; they walked until they reached a vast ground filled with tulips, far away they spotted a tall man, it was kind of impossible not to notice him among all the short people. Which increased their questions, the boy started running towards that man, he hugged him and seemed like he talked to him about those girls, they knew that's his father but they had no idea what was going on, the tall man approached them, and with sane and wise words he said:

· I see that Kevin brought me new amazing friends today. (He stopped talking and start checking the flower between his hands) Did you know girls! Tulips mean perfect love but no one seems to give them the love they deserve.

· That's fascinating sir! Aurora said

· Who are you, sir? Can you please explain what's happening here? Anna said with an angry voice mostly because of the pain her leg caused her.

· Oh Anna! I almost forgot about you; I was waiting for you, you look exactly how I saw you.

· Waiting for me! What are you talking about?

· What I guess you'd be concerned about your friends. Let's bring them first then I'll explain everything while we drink sour tea.

The girls had no idea what to answer that, they just decided to follow him and make sure the guys are doing well, then they will try to figure out how to handle this situation.

They stopped in front of a huge tree where there was Adam, Evander, and Shadow laying down there, unconscious. The weird thing was that none of them seemed harmed, like they didn't fall from the sky, from another person's perspective they looked like they are chilling under the shadows of that tree. When Anna saw them there she got excited and tried to run towards them but her legs let her down and she falls down instead; Aurora could reach Shadow, she starts shaking him to wake up, she succeeded after a few attempts. Shadow woke up confused and surprised as the girls woke up, the others followed him after hearing the noises around them. Adam and Evander opened their eyes to find a couple of people up to their heads; Meanwhile, the tall man was helping Anna to stand up and asked with a loud and charismatic voice those strangers to calm down and follow him to his place where he will answer their questions and make everything clear, Anna told them what happened from the second she and Aurora woke up and she asked them too, to do what the man said until they find out what's happening and get the whole image. The tall man took them to an empty and sort of hidden place in a forest near them; the place was fascinating with all the beautiful rare flowers and the gorgeous shiny creatures and the turquoise blue waterfall that gave the spot a magical look. He sat down and they did the same, finally, he started talking after an hour of silence and preserving the mysterious aspect:

· Alright guys! I'll explain now. First of all, let me introduce myself. I'm Mauritius, you don't have to introduce yourselves I know you all. I guess you'll be wondering why Aurora is no longer in the shape of a bird. Well, I guess you smart enough to notice that this happened once you passed the river, obviously, some powers protect what's beyond the river so no magic or spell work here or any place near; whoever made her a bird his curse is over. About these people you saw here, well they are the best thing that happened to me in my entire life.

Then Mauritius started telling them his story in that village with those weird creatures, what the friends heard about them changed their whole judgments although Mauritius started the story from the beginning and he mentioned a name they were all afraid of hearing.
