The pale crescent moon shone like a slivery claw in the night sky, while the occasional barking of faraway dogs broke the silence of the night; The guard was walking down the ail of cells making sure no one has escaped and everything was in order but when he reached Evander's he saw only the back of a body facing the cell, the guard said:

· Show yourself you stingy rat, NOW!

But no one answered him, and then he said once more:

· You better be dead or I will rip you heart out myself.

When the guard realized no one was there he took his heavy collection of keys looking for the one that will open that cell, he opened it with big rage and frustration; once the guard entered the cell, Evander took a huge rock and he hit him from the back, the guard fell down and the boy took the keys; While he was opening Keelan's cell, the man said:

· I knew you are not that innocent, good job kid!

· Let's go before the others wake up. Evander said.

They run out, luckily they were no other guards, they were in another room playing cards, drinking and talking about women; so the road was clear for them. They went out the jail and finally breathe a sigh of relief.

· Listen boy, I know you have nowhere else to go, so you are more than welcome at my house. Keelan said.

On their way to keelan's house, Evander saw the people of the city partying everywhere like there was no tomorrow; prostitutes half naked were trying to seduce the men around, who also seemed as drunk as a skunk to the point where they couldn't even stand properly.

· Oh my Goodness! So that's what you were talking about. Evander said.

· Well, now you saw it yourself. This is exactly why we need a new leader. Keelan said.

· If that's the case, I may lend you a hand. Evander said while feeling disgusted looking at the people of that city.

· That's great boy I can really use of some help.

Out of a sudden, Evander remembered the dilemma that brought him there, so he asked Keelan:

· Sir, is there a chance that you remember what happened ten years ago?

The man looked at him, as if he asked about something no one likes to talk about, Keelan answered trying to hide his resentment:

· I'm sorry; I can't help you with that. No one ever remembers or talk about it.

· Oh no! Then how am I supposed to know.

· What you exactly looking for kid, you have to tell me the whole story!

When Keelan said the last sentence they already arrived to his home. Then he said:

· Welcome to my humble home kid.

They entered the house, which was exactly how Keelan described; humble. After a few minutes, Keelan come out the kitchen with a piece of bread and some meet in one hand and two huge mugs of booze on the other hand. They sat eaten like two stray dogs, who haven't tasted food in weeks. After they finished eating, and laid down to get some rest, Keelan said:

· You still owe me an explanation kid.

Evander lifted his tired head from the couch and started talking about the story of the man that changed his life, he told him about the book of Ulysses and the curse he wanted to find out; Keelan seemed so interested in the boy's story and he wanted to help him so badly. Then the door opened and a woman came in, Evander was a bit confused, but Keelan made things clear:
