CHAPTER 24: The flame of revenge

After their long stop in "The village of farmers'', and with all the new information they acquired, they decided to complete their road towards "The black mountain'', apparently no one could see it but Anna so she was their guide, they walked for miles and miles, but the road seemed like it has no end, in the middle of nowhere under the burning sun. Although they resisted all of that, and they kept going. suddenly Anna said:

· Guys that's it, I'm seeing it it's very close to us just a few steps ahead

· Oh really! Then let's go up there. Shadow said with excitement!

When he started running in the direction Anna was talking about, he felt like his head hit something like a wall so he felled down, they all run towards him to see what happened, he told them that something was blocking him from moving on, the weird thing was that no one could move forward but Anna, they tried everything running around it to find some spot to get in but all in vain, it was like the mountain was protected by some invisible wall or a magical mantra....

The friends were all confused, and wondering how they could go up there and find Ulysses, it started to look like an impossible mission to them, then Anna said:

· I guess, I'm going alone this time...that's why I come here in the first place, it's my quest! (She said it with a sparkle in her blue eyes)

· There's no way I can leave you to go up there all alone you don't know what this man is capable of! Adam was talking with frustration.

· That's true we can't let you go on your own! Evander said.

· Then tell me, do you have any other suggestions (they were all in silence, and heads down ) yeah that's what I thought, Then I'm going alone, I mean what's the worst thing that can happen, right?

· You right! You seem like strong women to me... Anna, you got this! Aurora said.

· If you say so, but promise me that you'll come back OK? Shadow asked her with prisoner tears in his eyes.

Anna started getting ready to go up there grabbing all the things she may need, meanwhile the others were sitting there, praying for her to go back and to convince Ulysses to stop his curse, Adam was approaching her slowly, looking for the right words to say like he never talked to her :

· Anna I need to talk to you, I've been hiding this for a while and I think that's the right time to tell you!

· Yeah sure, Adam! Go ahead (She answered him while she's busy looking for her boots)

· Anna...I love you! Adam said

Anna stopped looking and she turned back slowly looking at him wondering did he just said those words or stress making her hear things, she was apparently shocked, it's been a long time since someone told her those words for real! So she had no idea what to tell him, in her head there was like an emergency situation, her inner voice said " Oh no that's not going to happen you know exactly what happened last time, you know exactly that you can't handle another thing like that" but her lips where said another thing :

· I'm flattered Adam, I really am, and I like you too.... kind of! But you know we're in the middle of something right now, I'm not quite sure about my feelings!

· I'll take that for now... Anna! I'll be waiting for you... come back as fast as possible! Adam said it with a gentle voice and a romantic tone like she never used to.

Anna said goodbye and start walking heading to the black mountain it was so huge and all black, but there was something like a way leading to the top of it, she began climbing it and following the road, a few minutes later she heard something like a roar or a scream, that left her shaking like a leaf in the middle of the road, but she kept moving forward, finally she found the entrance to a cave, but she hid once she saw an old man talking loudly to a woman. Anna tried to get closer to see who was that women to find out that she's the same one they saw in the library the other day, suddenly she turned into a massive snake quickly and said with that sneaky voice :
