The Missing piece

Chapter 20: Elizabeth

On their way to see Deidria, it seemed like it was taking them more time than they expected. The guys weren't really on the same page and since Anna was there hanging between the two lovers, she had no idea how to act, when Shadow and Aurora were around it wasn't that much awkward so she just decided to clear her mind from the boys and distract herself with something else, she started looking in her bag for some book or anything that could take her mind to another place, then her hands landed on the book she almost forgot about: her mother's diaries. While she was pulling it from her bag, Adam found a huge tree where they could hide from the scorching sun. Anna took place a bit far from them so she could have a much clearer head to read those words her mother wrote a long time ago:

Miss Elizabeth used to take her daughter to the top of that mountain when Anna was only a healthy newborn with her angelic face and chubby cheeks when she had no idea what life was holding for her. Elizabeth was telling her daughter all the stories about her adventures in that weird world she has been to, but Anna was too young to remember any of those stories, and when Elizabeth's intuition and sense of danger alarmed her that there was something bad coming towards them she asked the trees to hide that portal, and never open it until Anna was ready to go on her own adventure until then, Elizabeth promised herself for the sake of her daughter's safety to never say a word about her past.

Elizabeth visited Hisia when all the cities were together in one land and people were living together in harmony, she knew Ulysses and Othemia during her visit and through the days they became her best friends. Since Elizabeth had nowhere to go Ulysses and Othemia offered her to stay with them, and they spent really great time together, sneaking to the forest of a mystery sometimes looking for adventure wherever they could, not knowing that one of them will create that one adventure that will completely change their course of life. While her stay, Elizabeth found out about Othemia's secret lover, who she never had the chance to see closely until that miserable day when Ulysses found that magical item in his sister's- Othemia-room, which he used to create the product, he didn't know it was a weapon that the government was ready to kill to have it. Ulysses was so excited while making it, which he considered the project of his life, every science and experiments lover fantasy, so once he was done with it, he tried to touch it to see how powerful it was, what he created, the poor guy he didn't know it was far more than powerful, once he laid a finger on it, it shocked him until his soul was about to leave his body, then he blackout and fell on the ground. Unfortunately for him, the big masters decided to show up that day, to see what the new things he came up with, to find him laying on the ground and the weapon on the desk. They ordered to take it with them and they initially started the operation to force their rules on other villages.

While was that happening Elizabeth was seeing it all with her eyes through a tiny crack in the door. Once they left, she ran with all her power, to find Othemia. They met in the street, one all blushing and happy who just came back from meeting her lover and the other one sweating and afraid of what the future has for them; Elizabeth told her everything that she saw earlier, and it happened that Dylan approached them when Elizabeth was saying "Ulysses lost conscious and he still in his lab". They all run towards his house, and tried to wake him up when they heard voices of screaming and bombs outside; they knew it was starting. Dylan told them to leave and he'll follow them after he wakes up Ulysses.

Othemia left to save the man she was in love with, who she could never show up to the world because of the competition between him in her brother until they become enemies so she couldn't let her brother kill him. Othemia met him in their spot -an abandoned house -for one last goodbye. When she was leaving the building she started crying so badly because she may never see him again but mostly because of what she did to protect her love. Elizabeth found out what Othemia did after hearing a mighty roar coming out of that house; Othemia knew her brother acquired some sort of strong powers once she laid an eye on him so she knew he may hurt him if she didn't do anything. Power can blind a person, and Ulysses will definitely kill the man he hates the most, she had to turn him into that scary beast so her brother won't recognize him, she protected her love but her heart was tearing apart.

From what Anna read she figured out that the man Othemia was in love with was Leander. On the next pages, Elizabeth wrote about her days with Othemia in the forest of mystery, the mermaids they encountered in their way, her came back to her world, and feelings she never had the guts to talk about or she just didn't want to open her old wounds.

When Elizabeth escaped to her world she wasn't the same person who left it in the first place, everything changed about her, like she spent years there, although it was only a few weeks. She gained a lot of wisdom and experience; to the point socializing with other people didn't seem right for her or made her happy because none of them were Ulysses, Othemia, or Dylan. Until one day she met the person who sparkled her soul, Anna's Father, who was so in love with her eyes, and her presence around him, and she was head over toes in love with him. Until she decided to tell him the truth and everything that happened to her in that world, he didn't believe her, he thought she was crazy and lost her mind, so he left without knowing that she was pregnant with his gorgeous daughter Anna, and he never knew. Elizabeth let anger lead her and she never tried to reach out to him to let him know about his daughter, she thought he doesn't deserve to know anything about the people he abandoned, but the real fact she was actually afraid of him coming back and steal her from him too, he already stole her heart but her daughter was all she had. She lied to Anna about her father and told her half the truth but she took the rest with her to her grave or at least that's what she thought. Anna found out what her mother did and what strong and amazing women she was, although she made some mistakes it was all for the sake of her daughter. Elizabeth left her diaries there but she took something much powerful, when Othemia noticed that Elizabeth had such a special connection with that forest she gifted her with the ability to talk with the trees and nature, which was Othemia's last magical gift, it drained all her powers and gave Elizabeth what she deserved.
