Waking up Lauren felt something small and warm next to her. She found Kasen's cat and she figured it liked her. Lauren stroked its back as he purred. Lauren paused, she loved that feeling. Something Lauren was never able to do in France were petting cats, her parents both being allergic but her not. So having her first time petting a cat was an out of world experience.

"I like you. Your a good cat..." she looked at his collar "Jasper." She smiled and he meowed at her and crawled j to her arms. Carefully she stood up not wanting to surprise him. She got out of bed and went down stairs with Jasper in her arms. As she got to the first floor she saw Kasen there watching his cat in her arms.

"Wow I've never seen him warm up to people so quickly. I have been feeding and taking care of him for the last ten years and he would never do that with me."

"Oh I guess I'm special then." She said as managed to take a chair out using her foot. She sat down and kept petting the cat.

"Oh also Beau is here, so don't be shocked please."

        "Okay."

"Also please don't hit on him. I'm pretty positive he's been gay questions for the past three years and if you got on him he would probably have to start over. But if he flirts with you please tell him to back off, he can get very annoying."

"Okay." She said still petting Jasper.

"Are you paying attention?"

"Yup, just ignore Beau if he try's to flirt."

At that very moment Beau walked down stairs. Lauren looked him up and down and frowned. "He looks like a drug dealer."

Kasen laughed "your not wrong."

Beau looked down. He was only wearing sweat pants and a white T-shirt. This was a normal outfit to fall asleep in. He didn't understand the drug dealer part. But then again, he was extremely stupid to anything not business related. "Oh I'm sorry. I could change if you feel uncomfortable with my look?"

"Oh no it's fine." She said quietly. She felt confused around him, he gave off a 'don't mess with me or I'll kill you' you vibe but also a 'please give me love and attention because I will die if no one loves me' type of vibe. Lauren just didn't know what to think of him and it got her frustrated.

"So Lauren. How do you like it here?"

She shrugged while she played with Jasper's foot. "It's fine."

Beau frowned. So far he learned that she only does simple and quick responses. He figured that if he could get her on a topic that she liked her could figure out more about her as a person. And if he could figure out more about her, he can make her tutoring go a lot better.

"So what are you in to? Sports, animals, drawing?" He asked.

"Oh I design stuff." She said simply.

"Wow that's so cool! Can you show me your designs?"

        "Uh no."

"Thanks for letting me stay the night Kasen." She said as they parked in front of her grandparents house.

"Yeah anytime. You can stay the night whenever." He responded casually.

"And Beau, it was nice to meet you."

"And you too! Can I get a high-five?" He asked extremely happy.

"If I do, will you not talk to me unless your tutoring me?" Lauren asked returning back to her usual monotone voice.

"Yes!"

"Fine." She gave him a high five but when she did she felt a strange feeling. "Your hands are extremely static, I don't know if that's healthy or not. Go see a doctor, it would be a shame to know you died." She said and left the car.

The two remaining boys watched her safely get into her house before driving away.

"What the hell was that about?" Kasen asked.

Beau looked at his hand and enclosed it. "I think she might be my soulmate."

"Are you for sure on that? It could just have been static electricity."

Beau looked at his best friend. "You could be right. I want to get her to touch me again. Then I'll know for certain."
