Lauren sat in the school library waiting for Beau again. Her tutoring with him was going fine, even though she wouldn't admit it he was very helpful and easy to understand. She didn't like the amount of homework he gave her though. He gave her small tests sometimes and she got annoyed by that.
What he had her working on were some words she found extremely difficult those words being; squirrel, brownie and for some reason hedge hog. The reasons why she struggled was the way the values were pronounced.
Beau showed up and pulled out the chair across from her. He watched as she struggled with the words and sighed. He knew she was getting better and it made him happy yet sad. Happy because she's getting better at English and her classes would be easier but, he would only have one class with her once she masters English and she won't talk to him in Math.
"So it's nice weather." Beau said.
Lauren looked out the window and rain "yeah good weather, definitely" sarcasm dripping in her voice.
"Sorry I just didn't know what to say" he said awkwardly.
"I can tell" she responded with.
Silence overcame the two. Lauren was fine with it but Beau became anxious. He started to shake bounce his leg something he does when he get's like this.
"So! Are you going to the dance!" He blurted out randomly.
Lauren sighed "unfortunately yes."
"Wow I can't wait to see you there!" He said. Lauren said nothing so he attempted to say something again. "So what are you going to wear?"
"A dress."
"No shit Sherlock, but like what type of dress?"
"Show up to the dance then you'll see." She simply said.
Beau sighed "your so boring when you talk. I expected you to be loud and energetic but your quite and kinda cute."
She looked up at him and rolled her eyes. "If that was you attempting to flirt, it was terrible."
"I don't flirt, I just speak the truth. And I love to be truthful around lovely women like you."
Lauren rolled her eyes and smiled a bit. She understood that he was flirting with her so she decided to play along. "Well that's great because I only talk with truthful good looking guys."
Beau looked at her with widened eyes and a flustered face. He wasn't expecting that so he blurted out the most first thing that came to his head "your hand looks heavy, can I hold it!"
Lauren blinked a few times before laughing. "That was horrible! It was so bad!" She said between laughs.
Beau looked at her and smiled. He liked her laugh and her sarcastic voice and how she would rather be anywhere. "It wasn't that bad."
"Yeah whatever helps you sleep at night."
He was about to reply but the bell rang letting them know the day was over. He walked with her to the entrance of the library "I'll see you at the dance."
"Oui, I'll see you then."
Ahaha sorry for the short chapter it was kinda a filler
