I'll just stand here
in the corner.
Quietly.
Watching the world unfolds--
Sweet little faces I used to know
become the faces I barely know,
One happy smile meets another
as they promise forever,
And the world continues to unfold,
Day by day.
Oh, don't mind me--
I'm just standing here
quietly
in this little corner.
A little envious,
yes,
wishing thee the best.
But if your heart breaks
and you need a company
or a piece of advice
when you're troubled,
you know where to find me--
for I am always here:
In this lonely little corner.
