A hero is known
by many names,
They wear costumes
and bask in fame.
They answer your call
when you're in need,
They fear nothing,
heroic indeed!When you think of hero,
you'll think of Superman--
Powerful abilities,
and superhuman strength!
Some prefer Batman
and his gadgets,
Some love Wonder Woman
adorned in divine circlets.
These heroes are loved
and remembered through ages,
yet they're only alive
on silver screens
and comic pages.But heroes do exist
and it is true,
For there is a hero
in me and you--
They cannot fly
nor can they read mind,
No superhuman strength
or to make time rewind;
They wear no costume
they wear no cape,
Nothing extraordinary
to make others agape.
They're ordinary people
with extraordinary courage,
When they face injustice
it puts their heart in a rage;
When trouble comes
and they're scared
as scared could be,
they steel themselves
and do the right thing--
they'd never flee!The world may be filled
with malice and injustice,
yet evil forces
shall never prevail;
For when our hearts
are in the right place,
true heroes show themselves
when others fail.HBY,
