If This Poem Could Get Me You

The first time I laid my eyes on her,
I wish I was a little braver;
Wish I could tell her how I felt,
The courage to say, I could not garner.

I wanted to caress her silky pelt,
Imagined her gaze, my heart would melt;
Her smile, radiant, heaven's aether,
When our eyes met, a gasp I held.

So I put together words, one and other,
In hope I'll create a piece of wonder;
I pour a lot of my feelings too,
Just a love poem to describe her.

To that girl I lost my wild heart to:
If this poem could get me you,
I'll write again, that's what I'll do.
I'll write even more, that, I'll do.
