"He's strong," they said,
"never would he complain
even if the weight of the world
is placed on his shoulders."
He may laugh, he may smile--
but little did they know,
he is broken inside,
he's all alone,
and all he ever wanted
is company.
"She's strong," they said,
"never would she complain
even if her heart gets broken
by empty vows and promises."
She may laugh, she may smile--
but little did they know,
she is broken inside,
her heart is in pieces,
and all she ever wanted
is true love.
But he won't tell you,
that he needs company;
nor would she tell you,
that she needs to be loved--
until you realise
that the curve on their lips
is always
and has been
upside down.
