They are so much
alike as they like
one another so much;
They bare each others' chests
exposing their deepest scars,
For they barely survived
unspeakable, untold wars--
Each has a lingering darkness,
a demon whispering in their heads;
But they chose to trust,
albeit so difficult
Revealing the skeletons
in their closets.When they have
each other's company
time seems to slow down:
They can talk about anything
and everything resonates perfectly--
two souls as one.
But they are very much
like parallel lines:
Despite their similarities,
they were destined
to never touch.HBY,
