Seed Of Dream

I planted my dream's seed,
wanting to see where it leads;
Days and nights I--
Showered you with
care and love,
and I gave you more
than enough.
Sunned you with
time and attention,
and I did it with
unnerving patience.
Until you grew and bore
an apple so bright--
A sore-eyes' sight:
The apple of my eyes.

I beheld you shine,
I thought you're mine--
But little did I know
that I've to let you go
for you slowly bit me
off my time and sanity,
when away you're snatched
by a man I'm unmatched.
