So I was rejected for helping him out, on my face. But I'm not going to give-up on him so easily.
All in all I came to know that it was his wand that he came looking for. He already mentioned it once on our first meeting. Jasper has given me a new life and how can I not do something in return? I must try talking to him again. Even though he hates speaking to me but I'll stick to him until he's out from here. After all these drama, I went to my room and took out my bun, tied my hair, put my phone on table and started to plot my plan on how to convince him. Firstly I need his number to get close which seems to be another impossible thing.
Should I go to his room and ask his number directly or should I make some other excuses?
Understanding Jasper is a huge task. He's unpredictable. My every move should be apt. Lol. I'm sure he'll kick me out the instance he see me.
You must do this Ray. You must help him and be debt and guilt free. Even though I'm desperate to be with him but nevermind.
I took my phone and left my room with all the confidence on my face. After reaching in front of his door, I took a deep breath and raised my hand to ring his bell when suddenly Jasper opened the door.
"Holy Christ.... You scared me." I said patting my chest.
"What are you doing here? You still following me? Extremely thick skinned." He said piercing his looks on me.
Why did I feel like he was waiting for me? Or am I overthinking again.
"Well, I needed your number to update my neighbour's list... for emergency... er.... as it's a rule here to take the number......."
"Just say that you need my number. No need to make stories. You are bad at it." Having said this he took my phone and saved his number and handed it back.
I was shocked. This one was quick. I expected some more verbal abuse but it was smooth.
"Can I ask one more thing?" I said looking innocently.
"Now what?" He asked folding his arms.
"If you don't mind can I help you finding your wand? It's the only way to thank you for what you have done that day. If it wasn't for you then probably I would have been dead by now." My words sank and tears rolled down.
"There's no way that a human being can help me finding a sacred wand of a wizard. Not only that but it's also dangerous. I cannot play with your life. It's taken by a vicious entity and if you are involved then I'm sure you'll be harmed first." He said passing his handkerchief to me.
"But you can try me. Like that even I can have a friend and you can have a helper." I was still expecting a positive answer.
"Well if you insist then fine. BUT everything will be on your own risk. If you get in trouble then I am not going to help you this time." He said turning his face.
I nodded and showed a thumbs up with a wide smile. This was the best I could hear from him. I waved at him and left his place to get back to mine.
Now my question is, why did he agree when he knows that I'm of no use. I'm well aware that I'll be a burden but why did he allow me staying with him without arguing much?
