Days passed by learning the chants and bringing the perfection to the ritual. With the help of all the four sorcerers, I have finally learnt to perform it properly. Even though the evil spirits are getting stronger around me but I'm getting stronger with my intentions too. I started to feel a kind of vigour inside me but as soon as I remove the ring, I'm back to being a normal person with no strength at all.
Jasper, Valquor, Vannesa and Ivy were all busy in finding the exact place of Melisandre with Jasper's locket that was kept above a new spherical object. It was a crystal ball also known as orbuculum. Each night they would come together and put their hands on the ball, transferring their power inside it as that would help them gaining the vision. The sphere is fascinating in itself. In human world it's used for fortune telling but in wiccan realm it's a divine object to see beyond the future.
When rest were utilising their time on the crystal ball, I was preparing myself harshly for the protection spell. A while later, Jasper came in, lifted me from the ground, placed me on the couch and rested his head on my lap.
"Melisandre is more powerful than myself here and I heard that she's worshipping Hecate and Lilith for attaining more dark powers. I'm feeling anxious and bit worried about you." He said.
"You don't have to be Jasper. I have almost completed learning the ritual. You all need to trust in your individual powers otherwise even my shield will get weak. But did you find her? When are we leaving?" I asked playing with his hair.
"Most probably tomorrow. We did find her and tomorrow night is the best choice to have her in our hands." He replied.
"Why so? What's so good about the next night?"
"It's going to be a Equinox day. One of the most auspicious night for the wizards and witches. When we will be facing Melisandre, same time our realm will be performing witchcrafts and sorcery to help us face her and her dark energies. The day and night will be equal. So we need to finish her and take the wand before the sun rises." Jasper explained.
"That means if we are able to finish her before the next day, then everything will be back to normal? Wow, that's great but... what about us?"
"I will talk to my mother and the high priest about us soon. I have recieved message stating that the equinox prayers has already been started. We need to leave by tomorrow evening. If we win then there might be a chance they allow us to flourish our love." He got up from my lap and brought my face near him holding both cheeks.
"I won't give up on you." He said and kissed me.
"Sorry for interrupting but I think Mr. Jasper you need to leave now. You can have her later. This is now my room too. Come on. Get out." Ivy pulled Jasper from me and directly threw him out of my flat.
"You can't do this with a Prince." He pouted.
"You aren't a Prince here. Now leave." She shut the door right on his face.
"I'LL GET YOU SOON RAY!!!" Jasper shouted from behind the door.
I laughed so badly that I was almost tearing up.
"I have never seen Jasper being this childish. It feels like he's finally living a life he wanted. All thanks to you." Ivy said pressing my palm.
"I guess he wanted a right person in his life." I winked
"This is damn sweet for me to digest. Now stop dreaming and get some good sleep. Tomorrow we are having a long night."
I nodded and prepared the bed.
Whatever may happen tomorrow, I'm not going to let down Jasper and the others.
