"I thought to take it slow but if you don't start learning the charm from today then may be it will take months to get you ready." Said Ivy.
Anybody hearing us would wonder why I'm risking myself into this when I completely have nothing to do with all of them. But the truth is today I'm able to see the sunrise just because of Jasper. How can I not owe him this risk? It's not because I'm blinded by love, it's because you should never turn your back on aa person that did something to save you and will be punished for that soon.
"I'll make sure to do that properly. But what are our next steps?" I asked.
"We have done our parts here. Assembling the spirits was a great deal and that is done. But remember these vicious spirits will again be back whenever you do the first steps. Thankfully they can't even touch you until the white spirits are guarding your path. Now open the page of SHIELD in the Grimoire." Ivy passed the book to me.
"Yeah here it is. Now what?" I said turning few pages.
"You need to try writing the word '𐍀𐍂𐌰𐌴𐍃𐌹𐌳𐌹𐌿𐌼' from this chalk." Jasper handed me a golden color chalk.
"Chalk is an essential in every witches cupboard, and this hand-made piece is super charged with protection herbs, spices, flowers and woods that are grinded to a fine powder and mixed into the chalk before pouring into a hand-crafted mold and top dressing with magic. Mainly used for circle casting or shaved into candles or oils for use in protection spells. It's possibilities are limitless!" Valquor explained
Never in my dreams I thought that a chalk can be this useful!!!
"Read out the steps and try doing it yourself first." Vanessa said.
I looked carefully into the book.
"1.After summoning the spirits, take the chalk, face north and form a circle around you.
2. Surround the circle with candles keeping a distance of atleast 3 meters.
3. Put the magical bowl inside the circle facing your opposite.
4. Write the word ''𐍀𐍂𐌰𐌴𐍃𐌹𐌳𐌹𐌿𐌼' below the bowl with the same chalk.
5. Close your eyes and chant the following lines in your mind:
'Earth element, mother of trees and gems,
Air element of winds and change,
Fire element of sweeping rebirth,
Water element of peace and power,
I call you forth from your realm,
to guide and guard me and the others,
in this circle set outside of time.
Open for me the gates of shield!'
5. Open your eyes and focus on people you want to put the guard on.
6. The spell will work accordingly."
By the time I completed reading it, Ivy brought me some candles. I glared at my ring one time before starting the ritual.
After lighting them, I took the chalk and circled the sphere. As mentioned I arranged the candles and wrote the word '𐍀𐍂𐌰𐌴𐍃𐌹𐌳𐌹𐌿𐌼' exactly down where the bowl was kept. I closed my eyes and tried to remember the chant but everytime I kept forgetting the order. It's not that easy to by heart such intense lines within few minutes. No matter how hard I tried, nothing was working out at that moment.
"Let's take a break. No need to stress out so much Ray. Stay calm. You need concentration and that can't be gained like this. Give time to yourself. For now just try learning the chant. Rest will be done gradually. I'm sorry to put you through this but we have our reasons to do so. Don't overthink. Just think that we are helping out each other." Jasper moved to my side and hugged me kissing my forehead.
This is super confusing. What reasons? Is there something I need to know more?
