I started to stuff everything in my mouth and rushed to my room. Grabbing my bag and keys, I kissed Tinker and ran towards my bicycle. My college is as boring as me. As it's one of the most reputed one in the town, hence no extra activities or functions were focused.
As usual the lecturer was blabbering something in the class when suddenly our peon entered the class and handed over a notice to the professor and asked her to read aloud.
She turned around to read it to us.
"So students there's an important announcement. As your final exams will be starting from next month, the management has announced to give a study leave plus summer vacation together starting from today. You all have almost one more month to study. Please do spend this time wisely and focus on your studies only." She signed the notice and resumed her lecture.
Holy Moly! What on earth will I do alone at home? No college, no friends and no parents. Feeling so happy that I literally want to jump from thi building. Ofcourse I cannot spend my one month studying.
Thoughts were piling up one by one and each hour was passing as slow as our public transport. The classes came to an end and I started to head back after a small chit chat with others.
"Hey Ray!!" Sia jumped out of nowhere and landed on me.
Sia is my childhood friend and like 'same sister from another mothers type'.
"Heya! You seem happy about the vacation right?" I asked plainly
"Yes ofcourse. Is there anybody who doesn't want holidays? And what happened to you? You look like a dead frog today." Sia was buzzing in my ears.
"Mom dad left for business trip and now there's no college. How will I spend my time alone? I guess there isn't anyone as unlucky as me." I sighed
"Ohhh! That's sad. RIP in advance. Probably I'll stay with my bf this time in Miami, otherwise could have stayed with you" Sia made a puppy face.
"As if I care. Get lost!!!" I pushed her back and walked away.
"But you know what Ray? I got this gut feeling that there may be something interesting come up in your way. May be a Prince Charming??!!!!" she shouted from behind.
I waved at her without looking, took my bicycle and left.
Prince charming my foot. I'll stay single for life.
