She continued, "Valquor was adopted by Jasper's mother when his parents died drinking the wrong potion. They were our experimenter. They made potions that helped us to thrive and overcome all the physical challenges set by the rivals. His parents were a strong ally but due to some carelessness they consumed something they shouldn't have. Jasper's mother was generous enough to adopt Valquor and let him grow along with Jasper. She loved him just as she loved Jasper and never once let him feel that he was not their own. Later I took the responsibility of making all the potions and gradually gained power through it."
"That's a sad and sweet story there. Glad to see everyone getting what they deserve. Jasper doesn't seem to be much open about his love for Valquor but I know he's very concerned about him." I took a packet of chips and walked to her.
"Thanks. Let's get back to Jasper now. Even though we are born with the sorcerer's blood still we have to practice our spells to turn completely into a witch or wizard but that doesn't apply to Jasper. He never learnt anything, instead everything came to him. But the wand which he holds is more powerful than him. The wand chose his wizard and it was Jasper. That evil witch not only stole the wand but also played with everyone's emotion specially Jasper. But now he's in his right mind and chose a girl like you. Now you have to be his shield. The spell what you will learn is on protection. It's the only spell that can be done by a human without sacrificing anything."
After hearing it again, I comprehended that we all are vulnerable in front of that one wand. Jasper already mentioned how Melisandre can destroy both the mortal and immortal world.
"Why can't you people cast the protection spell? I still can't figure out how I can be effective here." I asked.
"While facing Melisandre myself, Vannesa, Jasper and Valquor will be busy fighting her and the dark energies. By that time we need you to create a spell and provide us defense. We will keep her busy so she can't notice you easily." Ivy replied.
"That sounds a lot of work and trust here. I will give my best. But from where should I start? I don't know how to initiate it anyways."
Ivy took the book of spells from the bed and said, "You'll find everything here. I will inform the others to bring the ingredients needed. All you have to do is watch, learn and practice." She shuffled my hair and handed over the book to me.
She started to call all of them and detailed on what all to be brought from each.
"They will be here in few minutes. Shall we begin with the first steps?" She raised her hand and clenched it hard murmuring her spell. A little while later, 7 beautiful purple lavender flowers were on her palm.
Ivy got herself a bowl from the kitchen and filled it with some water followed by the lavender petals. She then took out a ring from her pocket.
"Wear this and sit opposite to me. This will help to mark you as one of us and your energy will not be diverted to anywhere."
I nodded and wore it on my index finger.
"Listen carefully. While performing this, things can get strange near you. Don't ever stop the process in between." Ivy closed her eyes and sat still until the door bell rang.
"I'll get it." I ran softly to open the door and found the three others smiling at me.
"We met again!!!" Valquor pinched my cheeks and went inside.
Finally we all are here. Together.
