Strangely both of them where holding a box in their hands except Jasper. Everyone got in the room and Ivy was still deep occupied in her spells. I seated myself just beside her and Jasper, Vannesa, Valquor started to sit beside each other. That's when I realised that we are sitting in a circle formation. A little later Ivy opened her eyes and greeted everyone when they all started to take out some stuffs from the box they brought. Vannesa took out a dark crystal, Valquor drew out a odd looking bottle of oil and Jasper unhooked his pendant.

Watching them I could understand that all these are needed for preparing the sorcery.

"You know the significance of all these items kept here?" Jasper asked caressing my hair.

"Err... Not really." I forced a smile.

"The crystal is called Black Tourmaline. It symbolises healing and safety. Similarly the oil is Wicca oil that helps in intriguing the white spirits with it's fragrance. Collection of sacred souls helps creating power for protection. Now the last one is my locket. It has blood of my father. My father was one of the greatest and blessed wizard of all. His blood works wonders and this will help binding all the energies and powers together."

"Wow!!! everything about you people is interesting. But aren't you all immortals? Then where is your father? You never mentioned anything about him yet." I asked.

"Giving up immortality is also a choice to us. Jasper's father did gave his eternity for being one of the sacred spirit. It is his way of protecting us all from the evil witchcrafts." Replied Vannesa.

"As we all are here, let's start the ritual." Ivy gestured to hold each other's hands.

We all were holding hands and Ivy instructed to close my eyes and keep repeating the word 'praesidium' in my mind.

"No matter what happens don't ever stop chanting this word. Otherwise all will be in vain. I'll tell the rest soon." Ivy signed to start chanting.

She took some pieces of crystal and dipped it inside the bowl of lavender water. Later she added six drops of oil in it and then two drops of blood from the pendant. Upon her instruction I closed my eyes and started to repeat the word 'praesidium' inside my head. It was all good when suddenly I heard some vessels trembling from my kitchen. Ivy had already warned me about these unusual things which helped me to be calm. Few minutes later the wind started to blow heavily inside the room. It gradually started to pass chills through my spine. I knew my small mistake can break this charm and everyone's hardwork will end.

Again I could hear glasses breaking but what made me numb was a whisper. A whisper so close to my ear that I felt someone breathing near my earlobe.

"You will never be able to protect them." These were the words.

But even I was very adamant for giving up. Those words made me angry more than scary. I will never break the trust they put in me. I kept chanting and with time everything was stopped.

"You can open up." Ivy tapped my hands.

I saw my room and thought may be some income tax department ransacked my house. Everything was a mess.

"What just happened here? I even heard some whispers. Is it something we should be worried about?" I asked running my eyes from one object to another.

"This was the ritual to call upon the good spirits and tell them about helping us out next time. The whispers you heard were from the dark spirits that would disturb your mind to stop the chant but I must say you're way stronger than what I anticipated." said Valquor.

WHA--- ! IT WAS A BAD SPIRIT NEAR ME AND I STAYED STILL WITHOUT ANY FEAR???!!! I must be out of my mind. I wonder how intense will be the next steps.
