"Bro, let's go. I'm so tired. A hot shower and a plateful of delicious food is all I need." Valquor locked his arms with Jasper.
Am I seeing a bromance now?
"Go where? I'm not going to stay anywhere with you and you aren't welcomed at my house too." Jasper said releasing himself.
"As if I need your permission. I'll meet you in room. Bubye. And see you around Ray." Valquor waved and disappeared in thin air.
"I will go nuts if he's with me. Arghhh!!" Jasper said holding his hair.
"You shouldn't be like that to your brother. He's such a cheerful kid. You are grumpy to everyone. Huh!!" I said making faces.
"Grumpy? Staying 10 minutes with him will help you lose your sanity. But you both can hang out pretty well. Both don't have sense." He jerked his jacket and went on.
Says who.
We walked back to our apartments and somewhere I felt like Jasper was lost in some thoughts. I hope he learns to get more comfortable with people and share his feelings.
"Go back and rest. I will call you later. Take care." He left for his room.
Woahhh!! Just look at him, trying to show some attitude. Doesn't even have the heart to ask if I'm ok or not. No wonder that witch left him.
I stomped back to my room where I found Tinker playing alone with toys. She jumped upon me and started to rub her head to mine. It's her way of showing concern. Even an animal knows how to care.
Scratching few minutes I served her some fish and rice I had from yesterday. After taking a bath, I prepared some sandwich, took out a coke and gulped it inside sitting beside my favourite place.
Everything seems to be so new and strange. There was a time when I used to see some normal people. Now I'm always bumping into some or the other immortals. I accepted all of these just for Jasper and I hope he discovers how I feel for him.
WHOOSH!!
"Missing me already?"
A strange gush of wind passed and Jasper appeared to stand very close to me.
"JESUS CHRIST!!!! You scared me!" I dropped my glass of coke.
"You still didn't get adapted to me? Oh but wait, a mere human like you is always a scaredy-cat. Haha"
Meowww??!!!
Just then tinker replied looking at him like "Excuse me?"
"What the--- you have a cat? It wasn't there when I came last time." He started to examine it carefully.
"It has been with me for almost 2 years. It's not my fault if you are so blind." I flipped a hair.
"Sleep." He gestured to Tinker and instantly she fell on the ground.
"What have you done?" I rushed to her.
"She's all good, just sleeping. I needed some time with you. Alone. Follow me to your room." He beckoned.
"Room? Uh ok." I carried Tinker to her crib and followed him.
"Where is Valquor? I thought he'll be tagging along you from now on." I asked.
"Because of him I'm here. His snoring is making it impossible to sleep." He sat in the bed.
Is he here to sleep? With me? On this bed? Wake up Ray! Why would he come to my place of all? He can go anywhere he wants. But why am I so happy about it? My pervert mind never rests.
"Come sit here. I'll show something." Jasper pulled my hand and seated me near him.
He loosened his locket and tied it around my neck.
"It's a magical thing. Now think something beautiful and it'll appear on these walls." He smiled.
I looked at him in tenderness and couldn't think anything more beautiful than this man right infront of me. Within few seconds his face appeared on the walls.
"I just wanted to see if I still exist in your thoughts. And I do. Is this mortal started to love an immortal?" He put his hand on my head.
"I love you." I don't know why I said that.
