After a few minutes of awkward silence, the carriage took a sudden turn to a forest. Vannesa was guiding the women through all the routes and after almost 30 minutes we all entered a deep dark forest. It felt that the sun never has risen here. The shady sound of owl, howling of foxes and creepy noises of cricket was quite spooky altogether.
"Are you sure we aren't lost?" I asked holding Jasper's hand.
"We aren't dear. This is where she is hiding. Need to find her through the darkness. She thrives in these shadows so you never know when will you cross paths with her." He replied.
Why does it bothers me anyways? I'm already surrounded by powerful people so I shouldn't overthink too much.
All I know is it's all about me and them. I need to make through this night.
"We have almost reached. Get your things ready Ray. It's showtime!" Ivy jumped out of the carriage, followed by Valquor.
I slowly put down my feet being careful as it was quite difficult for me see the ground because of white fog. The ambience was cold and wet.
"Take your steps carefully Ray. Your would see things that can be hallucinating. Don't fall for anything." said Valquor.
The more I walked, the more it was getting creepy. But the best thing I felt was Jasper holding my hand until now. I looked up to him and he was staring just at me, as if he wanted to say that he's there for me no matter what. If it wasn't for Jasper, I would have not done this whole heartedly just because my ancestors were sinful.
"Now look we are here. So this is her castle, her hidden place." Vannesa looked back at us and smiled.
"You all call this a castle? It's not less than a hut." I said in a shock.
"Told you, not to fall for any trap here. You a human that's why she can play with your naive mind." Replied Ivy.
"We cannot enter through this door. It's sealed with spell. Let me see if my crystals can do anything." Vannesa took a handful of crystals and started to chant.
Just then my eyes wandered towards a rose that was being there alone, digged inside a muddy ground. It looked so enchanting that I wanted to touch it's beauty. I was about to lay my finger when a wasp flew over to me and stung my finger.
"DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING RAY!!!" Jasper shouted from behind.
But by the time my fingers started to turn black, and then my whole hand.
"I will help healing her. Jasper just deal with this thing." Said Ivy applying her magical herbs on my hand. Indeed it worked.
"This rose seems suspicious. Let me sprinkle some of my star dust." Valqour took out some powder and started to sprinkle around.
Within a second the red rose turned black and the rose grew taller and taller, finally converting itself into a woman.
"MELISANDRE?!" The witches and wizards in unison.
So she is Melisandre? Holy moly!!
Not only was she pretty but was looking vicious at the same time. Her long white hair with her black dress, her sleek figure and high chin was already giving an aura of her evil presence. Lips dark with bright brown eyes, she was indeed a diva dressed in nightmare.
"Ouch!! That hurts Valquor. By the way, long time fellas! It's so refreshing to see you all again. Especially you, Jasper." She ran her hands through her chest and moved towards me.
"And well we have a new face here. Awww... She's a human!!! Useless and powerless" She gave a devilish smile.
