I woke up the following day, Niall's arm draped across my hips and around my stomach, holding me to him. I felt his chest rise and fall against my back. At first I was confused with my surroundings. The walls were a tanish colour and there was an Irish flag hanging on one wall. There was a small desk, cluttered with papers and pens and notebooks. Sunlight was coming through the curtains on the window, illuminating the room with a soft light. There was a guitar propped at the foot of the bed and a small dresser, droors open and tshirts spilling out. I smiled a little, remembering where I was. Niall's bedroom.
His mum had showed me to the guest bedroom and told me I was more than welcome to sleep there. I politely thanked her and tried to fall asleep in the room but wasn't able to. Everything was too different. I needed something familliar. As I laid in the dark guest bedroom, my mind drifted off to how things could have been drastically different if Niall and I hadn't made up. I looked at the clock at one point and saw that it was two in the morning. I hadn't gotten one bit of sleep, so I decided to go to Niall's room. I opened the door slowly and crept down the hall, opened his bedroom door and shut it quietly behind me. I saw him sitting on his bed, also awake, absently jotting things down on a paper then scratching them out. He looked up at me and smiled.
"Hey L,"he whispered as he patted the bed beside him.
"Hey Nialler,"I whispered back, shivering a little. I was in shorts and one of Niall's old t-shirts that he left at my house a while back.
He closed the notebook and tossed it on his desk, along with the pen. His hair was sticking up everywhere, making him look very young. I could imagine him making sheet forts and writing or reading under the sheets with a flashlight when he was younger. I had to smile a little at that. How couldn't you?
"Couldn't sleep?"he asked me, rubbing his hands over my arms, trying to warm me up. His hands were strong but gentle as they kept a rythem.
"Not at all."I frowned a little.
"Me neither. Here, lay down."he murmmered. I laid down on his bed and he stretched over me, reaching for the lamp by his bed. His shirt lifted up a little and I could see his toned stomach. The light went out and he settled down beside me. He kissed my cheek and brushed some hair from my face.
"Maybe now we'll be able to sleep."
"L?"I heard Niall inquire groggily, his voice raspy.
"Morning,"I said smiling at him. I turned over so I was facing him and pressed a small kiss on his nose.
Suddenly, Niall threw his arms around my torso and flipped me on top of him. I straddled his hips.
"Got you."he said grinning.
"Yes you did."I agreed, laughing a little.
"God Liah, you're perfect."he murmmered, sitting up against the wall and putting a hand on my cheek.
In seconds, his lips were pressed to mine. I kissed him back, my hands on his chest. I moved them down to his stomach, and then slid them under his shirt, tracing his abs. Niall's hands moved to my hips and went under the hem of my shirt, tracing patterns on my lower back, sending shivers up my spine. He deepened the kiss and hooked his fingers in the waistband of my shorts. I pulled away breathlessly, my head spinning. I stayed where I was, sitting on top of Niall and Niall kept his index fingers hooked in my waistband.
"Well that's a way to start the day," I muttered grinning.
"The best way."he agreed. I just rolled my eyes at him and continued to trace his abs. I could see the goose bumps froming along his arms and I giggled a little bit.
