"Do you have all your things packed up?"Maura asked me as I put my things into my bag.

"Yeah I think that was everything."I slung the duffel over my shoulder and followed her out of the room that I had stayed in.

"Here, let me take it,"Niall said taking the bag from me and out the door to the car.

"Thank you for letting me stay here, I really appreciate it."

"It's nothing,"Maura replied smiling. "I think that Niall enjoyed having you here."

I absently fingered the small clover charm, a habit that I'd contracted.

"You ready to go?"Niall asked me, snaking his arm around my waist.

"Yep,"I said taking a breath. "Thanks again Mrs. Horan, I had a great time."

Beaming, the small woman gave me a tight hug,"Have a safe flight back to London you two."she said after hugging Niall and giving him a kiss on the cheek.

Niall and I were both going back to London as he had to get back to work and I had school.

"Bye mum, I'll talk to you soon." Niall called over his shoulder as he led me to the door.

"Bye honey!"She called back, and I swear I could hear her voice wavering.

The flight to London felt like no time at all. When the plane touched down, Paul came and escorted us into a black Range Rover. He climbed into the driver's seat and pulled out of the parking lot.

"Want to go grab dinner somewhere?"Niall asked after a few moments.

"Sure after I drop my stuff off at home." I shrugged. Might as well. Alex wouldn't be back for a while yet and it was more time that I could spnd with Niall.

"Sounds good..."

The Range Rover pulled up in front of my small home. I saw my mum running out. Oh gosh.

I climbeed out of the car and she ran over and basically tackled me in a hug.

"Mum-breathing is essential for life."I gasped out as the air was spueezed from my lungs.

"Sorry honey! How was it!?Did you have fun? What did his mum think of you?"

"It was good I guess, I had a ton of fun, and I think she likes me."I answered her questions, ticking them off on my fingers.

"I'm so happy you're home!" Another hug. "Let's get your stuff out of the car okay?"

I didn't have time to respond before she had grabbed my bag out of the back and was walking up the path to the door.

"Mum let me take it." I grabbed the bag from her and put it over my own shoulder.

"Okay,"she said reluctantly. "Are you sure you don't want me t-"

"Mum,"I said cutting her off laughing,"I've got it."

"Nice to see you again Niall,"I heard her say.

"Nice to see you again too." I looked over my shoulder to see him leaning down and hugging my mum. It made me smile. I knew that things were better between them.

"I'll go make some tea for you."She said ushering Niall and I inside the house.

"I'm going to take this upstairs,"I muttered slowly climbing up them.

1....2.....3...4...5....6....7.....8... I counted out of habit. 15. I was at the top of the stairs, and walking to my room. I laid the bag on the floor of my room then hurried back down the stairs. I was greeted with Niall's and my mum's laughter.

"What's so funny?"I asked oblivious.

"Nothing, nothing."Mum laughed. I rolled my eyes and hopped up onto the counter. Some things would never change.

"Liah? What have I told you about-"

"Come on, please? Just this once?"I pleaded.

"Fine, just clean the counter later." A warm mug was put into my hands and I sipped at the tea, burning my tounge.

"So Liah where do you want to go later?"Niall asked, leaning against the counter where I was sitting.

I shrugged,"Doesn't matter to me. You choose."

"Then I guess we'll decide later." He sipped his tea loudly, and I couldn't help but laughing. He grinned at me.

The rest of the day, we spent out in London, walking around on the streets. We visited little shops and ended up by the London Eye, eating ice cream cones.

"Funny how that worked out,"I mused.

"How what did?"he asked, glancing at me.

"How we ended up here at the Eye. It's a pretty special place, isn't it."

"It is special,"he agreed with me. "Wanna go for a ride, just for old times' sake?"

"Of course." I smiled, finishing my ice cream and we waited in the line, hand in hand. There were several people who came up and ased Niall for pictures and autographs and he happily complied. I didn't mind. I knew this is what happened when we went out in public, and I knew he was happy to do it for them. The fans meant everythnig to him, so he'd do anything for them. A few people wanted pictures with both Niall and myself, so I got to feel like a celebrity for a few moments. It honstly was pretty fun. I didn't know if I'd be up to doing that all the time like Niall was, but I was happy to comply to the fans.

When we actually got into a car on the Eye, we were left alone. We stood near the window together, his arm encircling my waist. The sun was just starting to set over the Thames. The sight still took my breath away.

"Hey Liah."

"Yes Ni?"

"Guess what?" I could practically hear him smiling.

"What?" I looked up at him and sure enough he was grinning.

"I love you."

"I love you too,"I replied, standing up on my tiptoes. Then I presed a gentle kiss to his lips. He wrapped his arms around me and held me against him. We ended up not going to dinner and we just went back to my house. I didn't mind though. It the perfect day, and I couldn't have asked for anything better.
