{Liah's POV}

FOUR YEARS LATER...

Could this be happening? I was in disbelief as Alex, Louis, Niall and I walked down the crowded London streets to the bridal shop. There was no way... well.. there was. I guess I should explain. Three weeks before this day, Niall and I had been walking around London together, hand in hand..

"Isn't this perfect?"he asked me as we walked along.

"Yeah, it is,"I replied smiling up at him. He returned the smile.

We walked through the park, the sun shining through the trees, dappling the pathway in front of us. The trees were blooming, as it was now spring and it was a truly beautiful sight. We spotted a fountain and I couldn't help but smile. I remembered being young and Alex and I would come to the park and when our mums weren't looking, we'd run to the fountain and jump in, splashing around. Back when Alex's mum was around and actually interacted with us.. I remembered how cold the water had been and how we'd run laps around the center, splashing anyone who was sitting on the edges, occasionally slipping and falling into the water because of the coin-covered bottom. All of those coin wishes collected at the bottom. I had to go see how much the fountain had changed.

"Come on Ni, I want to go look at this." I pulled him in the direction of the fountain. When I got to it, I let go of his hand and reached in. The water was still as cold as I remembered it being. The bottom though, was covered, almost completely, in coins. So much so, that you couldn't see the faded tile bottom in some places.

"I've always liked this fountain,"He said after a while. I felt his arms wrapping around my waist and his head rested on my shoulder before placing a kiss on my jawbone. I turned around and hugged him, resting my face against his chest, listening to the framilliar heartbeat.

"I love you Liah, you know that right?" he murmmured into my ear, his breath tickling my neck.

"Of course I do Niall,"I replied smiling,"I love you too."

"I hope I won't ever have to stop hearing that.." he sounded suddenly serious. His tone before had been light and happy.

I looked up into his blue eyes. "Why wouldn't you? I'm always going to tell you."

"I'm glad, because you won't ever have to go without hearing it from me either."

I smiled, starting to get an uneasy feeling. What was he up to? He didn't usually get this mushy..

"I don't want to lose you again, Liah. That.. I couldn't do that again. I have this plan though, for me not having to spend a single day without you being mine.. And you'd never have to worry about anything like that ever happening again.. The question is... would you like to try this plan out?"

He sounded nervous.

"Sure Niall. Just... What's going on?"

"I can't imagine my life without you. I don't want to either. I want to have a future with you and this way.. we will. If you want that."

It suddenly hit me what was going on.

Niall let go of me and went down on one knee.

My heart was racing.

I felt tears starting to form.

"Liah Sheffield.. Would you do me the honor of making me your husband?"

He produced a ring from his pocket and held it out.

I covered my mouth with my hands. I couldn't speak. I was giddy with excitement and I felt my heart fluttering out of control. This was happening. Before I knew it, tears started spilling over my cheeks and all I could do was nod.
