Epilogue

Raven's POV

All the things happened in a flash. I couldn't comprehend all that happened.

Edward was hanged outside the gate the next morning of his engagement party. It caused an uproar in the entire kingdom. It was announced to the people that he committed treason and the whole nation was told of his corrupt and evil crimes.

Adelaide was exiled and Violett was nowhere to be seen after the incident happened. It was also said that she dropped out of the academy and fled to another country.

The empress who was Edward's mother was stripped of her title and was sent back to her family.

I went back to the academy and after three long years, I finally graduated.

Me in my friends stayed in contact and meet once a month after we graduated. We were all busy on work.

The greatest thing that has happened was Rebecca and Claude's marriage announcement.

It will happen three days from now on and the whole nation will be celebrating the crown prince and crown princess' marriage.

Crown Prince and Princess? After the whole treason incident. The king appointed Claude as the crown prince and he chose to stay loyal to my sister.

Many days have passed and it is finally the day we are all waiting for. Today is the day my sister is getting married.

"Raven, let's go! We might get late!" mom shouted at me to make me run faster to the carriage. Why am I always the last one to get on. I should really fix this bad habit of waking up late.

"Again? You're always late" Richard complained. To think that my little brother is all grown up and is scolding me

"To think that my daughter will now be officially crown princess" my father said

"Yeah, I'll miss her too when we won't be meeting her often due to royal duties" I said

"As long as she's happy" my father said with a soft smile

A few moments, and we arrived at the Cathedral where the wedding is taking place.

We took our seats and I sat next to Emman, Marvin, Franz, Cheska and Diana. My good friends since childhood. 

The ceremony started and we saw Emma, Eric, and Erica throwing flowers to the aisle as Rebecca walks after they do.

I saw my father and mother aiding her until she finished her walk down the aisle and went to Claude.

The Pope said a few words and pronounced their marriage. Claude took my sister's veil off and he sealed her lips with a long kiss.

All of the people inside were cheering and happy.

We went to the palace for the post-wedding reception and I met familiar faces and greeted them.

"Hey, I need to talk to you" someone tapped my shoulders from behind and I turned around to look for who it was

It was actually Diana.

"Follow me" she said as she led my to the garden outside the palace. She stopped in the middle and she turned to me and looked at me

"Do you remember this place? This was where we first met. To be honest, I was actually heart broken, but I fell in love with you slowly as time went by" she said with a blush on her face as she confessed her feelings to me.

"You know what? I felt the same" I said

"So can  we make today as day one?" she asked and I nodded

We were both blushing and embarrassed. We felt awkward and Diana was the first one to break the ice as it suddenly snowed.

"The first snow in winter. It's so beautiful" she said in awe as she grabbed a snowflake that fell onto the palm of her hand

"Today's the first, don't forget. I need to go first, because I still haven't given your sister her wedding gift. She added as she slowly ran and went back.

That was cute.

I went inside a few moments after I calmed down and reassured that I stopped blushing.

My sister walked towards me and held my hand.

"Thank you for changing me. For helping me, and for changing my life" she said with teary eyes and with tone that was so sincere

"No Rebecca, thank you for being my sister" I smiled at her

"Are you leaving me out?" Claude playfully said as he put his arm on my shoulder in a choke position

"It's a secret between us" Rebecca smiled at him and teased him

It is very good to see life this way. I never thought that I could change the future and always thought that it was impossible.

I am very thankful that God gave me this life in order to cherish my family and friends.
